To make a beat with AI, describe the groove and mood you want, generate a draft, then edit its drums, bass, melody, and arrangement until it feels intentional. For an editable project, Beat Shaper generates drums, basslines, synths, loops, and arrangements, with piano-roll controls for genre, mood, energy, and syncopation. If you want a complete instrumental or are working on a phone, Soundverse AI Beat Maker generates instrumentals and offers stems and MIDI for further editing.
Decide What Your Beat Needs
Before prompting, settle on the beat’s job. A loop for a verse needs room for a voice; a beat meant to stand alone needs enough melodic and structural movement to hold attention. These are creative choices, not guaranteed settings in any particular generator.

- Generate a few candidates. Listen for a clear drum pulse, a bass part that supports it, and a melody that leaves enough space for the intended use. If a tool exposes controls such as genre, mood, energy, or syncopation, adjust only the controls it actually offers.
- Choose the strongest foundation. Keep the version with the best groove, even if its sounds or arrangement need work. A good beat can be simple; the kick, snare, and bass should work together before you add more layers.
Edit The Beat Into A Track
- Fix the rhythm first. In Beat Shaper, use piano-roll editing to adjust generated drums and notes. If the rhythm feels crowded, remove hits; if it feels flat, try a variation in syncopation where the control is available.
