Overview

Erply combines online and offline POS with inventory, purchase orders, receiving, stocktakes, warehouse workflows, order management, ecommerce, loyalty, self-checkout, and reporting. That gives retailers a shared toolkit for managing sales and stock across locations; businesses seeking only a checkout terminal may find the operational breadth unnecessary.

The POS is described as hardware agnostic and compatible with devices including IBM, Toshiba, Star, and Verifone equipment. Hosting options include self, managed, and shared hosting. Erply says it encrypts data transfers, uses regional data centers, and backs up data in two locations in real time.

Key features

Retail operations and integrations

Inventory management, purchase orders, multi-location support, employee management, customer profiles, and advanced reporting make Erply a broader retail operations system than a basic POS. Mobile inventory features add support for stock work beyond the checkout, while CRM, loyalty, and ecommerce connect customer and sales operations.

Erply lists integrations with WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Merit Aktiva, NetSuite, Locally, Amazon, and Etsy. Its in-house integrations are free to customers and can be set up from the backoffice, which reduces a potential cost for businesses using those services. For other connections, Erply offers an API, SDK, and WebSocket protocol for external systems, custom POS solutions, and plugins.

POS and hardware

The cloud POS works online and offline and is offered for iOS and Android. Compatibility with a customer's preferred devices and support for several hardware brands give retailers flexibility in choosing equipment, though the platform's store and usage limits still determine which plan fits.

Pricing

Erply has no free plan. It invites prospective customers to create a free account without a credit card, but that option is not presented as a free plan. The pricing note gives a 60-day trial; the plan descriptions should be checked separately because their billing units and included allowances vary substantially.

Plan	Price and billing	Included limits and fit
Growth Plan	1000.00 USD per month, billed monthly	3 stores, 100,000 queries per month, unlimited users, 2,000 AI actions per month, and up to 1M records. A fit for a three-store operation that can work within those query and record caps.
Chain Plan	5000.00 USD per month, billed monthly	4–20 stores, 500,000 queries per month, unlimited users, 10,000 AI actions per month, up to 3M records, and 1–3 ecommerce shops. It increases capacity for a larger chain, at a substantial monthly step up.
Enterprise / Franchise Plan	25000.00 USD per month, billed monthly	21–100 stores, 2,500,000 queries per month, unlimited users, 10M+ records, and 1–5 ecommerce shops. Its scale is aimed at large multi-store operations rather than smaller retailers.
Giftshop & Grocery chain	49.00 USD per month, billed Annual, per store	1 user account, 1 POS terminal, company net sales turnover up to $25 000 a month, limited email support, and no backoffice access. The low entry price comes with tight sales and access limits.
Multichannel chains	179.00 USD per month, billed Annual, per store	2 user accounts and 1 warehouse license, with company net sales turnover up to $25 000 a month. Its warehouse license and second account distinguish it from the smaller Giftshop & Grocery package, but the turnover cap remains.
POS for NETSUITE	1800.00 USD per contact, billed From $1800	2 user accounts, 1 POS with inventory license, and an advanced customer database plus API for 1M customers. The price is contact-based rather than a stated recurring term.
Franchise & Chain	3500.00 USD per contact, billed From $3500	For 50+ store chains or franchises; supports 900+ POS registers, high scalability (800+ locations), and an advanced customer database plus API for 10M customers.

All user counts are unlimited on the three monthly store-count plans, while the smaller annual per-store plans cap accounts at one or two. The first three plans also impose query, AI-action, record, and ecommerce-shop allowances; compare those against expected usage before choosing a tier. The pricing page offers phone or email support for questions, while Giftshop & Grocery chain specifically includes limited email support only.

Platforms

Erply lists Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, Windows, and API support. Its mobile POS is available on iOS and Android. The broad platform range and hardware flexibility may suit retailers with mixed systems, while the POS's online and offline operation supports selling in either connection state.

Who it's for

Erply is a strong candidate for retailers that need inventory and warehouse workflows alongside POS, particularly those operating across stores or integrating ecommerce, accounting, and marketplace services. Its Franchise & Chain plan targets 50+ store chains or franchises, and the other plans span from single-store-per-package caps to large store-count tiers. Small shops should assess whether the turnover, account, and backoffice restrictions on the lower-priced packages are workable; operators needing only checkout should consider a narrower solution.

Pros and cons

Pros

Combines POS, inventory, purchasing, warehouse, order, and multi-store tools, reducing the need to assemble separate retail operations products.
Free in-house integrations, plus API, SDK, and WebSocket options, support connections to common retail and accounting services as well as custom development.
Unlimited users on the Growth, Chain, and Enterprise / Franchise monthly plans prevent seat counts from becoming a listed constraint as teams grow.
Online and offline POS, mobile apps, and support for multiple hardware brands offer flexibility across store setups.

Cons

Monthly plans range from 1000.00 USD to 25000.00 USD per month, making the higher-capacity tiers a major commitment.
The least expensive per-store packages cap turnover at $25 000 a month; Giftshop & Grocery chain also limits the account and terminal to one each and excludes backoffice access.
Growth, Chain, and Enterprise / Franchise plans have explicit query, AI-action, record, and ecommerce-shop caps, so high usage may require a larger tier.
Some plans are priced per contact, without a stated billing period, making their recurring cost harder to compare directly with monthly subscriptions.

Alternatives

Nimbus RMS is worth considering for a smaller test: it offers a 14-day free trial with up to 3 stores, 50 products, 1 user and 1 register per store, and no receipt limit. Its free plan and Android/web platform support offer a lower-commitment starting point than Erply's paid plans.

GoFrugal Retail is a paid alternative with a free trial and Android, iOS, web, and Windows support; its Retail ERP starting price is 75.

Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service is another paid option for retailers who prefer a demo-led purchase; Oracle invites retailers to request a demo.

SAP Retail may suit organizations considering a private-edition retail merchandise management contract; its stated contract duration is 1 to 5 years.

SwilERP offers a cloud subscription at 1000.00 INR per month, billed ₹1,000 per user per month, with a 45-day free trial and no credit card required. It is a lower-commitment option for readers who prefer per-user pricing.

Auromine is a freemium option for jewellery shops: its free Pearl plan is per shop, per year, excluding GST, and includes 1 counter, 30 invoices per month, and 200 items.

Cegid Retail is another paid retail platform to compare.

RetailPOS is a paid alternative with pricing customized by business size, outlet count, and modules.

Verdict

Choose Erply if your retail operation needs POS tied to inventory, warehouse work, and multi-store operations, with room to integrate or customize connected systems. Its breadth and unlimited users on the main monthly tiers are compelling for growing chains, but the prices, store thresholds, and usage caps make it a poor fit for a shop that needs only checkout or cannot justify a substantial monthly commitment.
