Overview

Raven Tools is a cloud-based platform for SEO work and marketing reports. It is a sensible fit for agencies and marketing teams that need recurring, branded updates alongside research and rank monitoring. The breadth is useful, but per-plan campaign, user and position-check allowances make the right tier depend on the size of the operation.

Key features

Keyword, competitor and backlink research sit alongside rank tracking and website audits, giving teams several recurring SEO tasks in one platform. That is a practical combination for marketers who also need to report on their work; a team seeking only one specialized function may not need the wider toolkit.

Customizable drag-and-drop reports and scheduled reporting support repeatable client updates. More than twenty connectors include Google Analytics, AdWords, Search Console, Bing Ads, Facebook, Twitter, Call Rail, Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, EMMA, AWeber, Constant Contact, LinkedIn and YouTube. The range helps teams bring multiple marketing channels into their reports. White-label options include branded reports, a custom subdomain and branded custom email; a custom domain is available from Grow, making that the first tier suited to agencies that require their own report domain.

SEO data sources include Moz, Majestic, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Bing Webmaster Tools, IBM Watson, Calais and Bing. Raven also offers a Platform API. Support resources include a Help Center and service status page. After cancellation, account data is kept for 30 days and then deleted.

Pricing

Raven has a free plan and a 7-day trial. The free account is constrained to one website for tracking and auditing, 25 keyword rankings, 100 queries per day and 100 pages crawled per month. Those caps make it suitable for a small site or a limited evaluation, not an agency managing several clients.

Small Biz: $468.00 USD per year, billed annually ($39.00/month). It allows 2 domains/campaigns, 2 users and 1,500 position checks. This is the entry paid tier for a small operation with a narrow client roster.
Start: $948.00 USD per year, billed annually ($79.00/month), with 20 domains/campaigns, 4 users and 15,000 position checks. It gives a growing team considerably more campaign capacity than Small Biz.
Grow: $1,668.00 USD per year, billed annually ($139.00/month), with 80 domains/campaigns, 8 users and 20,000 position checks. It is the entry point for a custom report domain and suits agencies that need that branding plus more room for clients.
Thrive: $2,988.00 USD per year, billed annually ($249.00/month), with 160 domains/campaigns, 20 users and 25,000 position checks. The extra seats and campaigns favor larger teams, though position-check capacity rises less sharply than campaign capacity.
Lead: $4,788.00 USD per year, billed annually ($399.00/month), with 320 domains/campaigns, 40 users and 30,000 position checks. It offers the most listed campaign and seat capacity, but teams should weigh that against the more modest increase in checks over Thrive.

All paid tiers require annual billing. The lower tiers limit how many campaigns and colleagues can share the account; higher tiers expand both, while position-check allowances also rise. Choose by expected workload rather than campaign count alone.

Platforms

Raven Tools runs on the web and provides an API. Its cloud-based format suits teams accessing SEO and reporting work through a browser, while the API may suit workflows that need programmatic access.

Who it's for

Raven is best suited to agencies, in-house marketers and media companies that need SEO research and monitoring paired with scheduled, customizable reports. White-label features make it particularly relevant to client-facing teams. A solo user with one small website may find the free account sufficient, while organizations with many sites should budget for paid quotas and annual terms.

Pros and cons

Pro: Research, rank tracking, audits and reports share one platform, reducing the need to separate these SEO and reporting tasks.
Pro: Scheduled reports, many marketing connectors and white-label options support recurring client communication.
Pro: Paid plans offer up to 320 domains/campaigns and 40 users, giving larger teams room to scale within the tier structure.
Con: The free plan’s single-site, 25-ranking and 100-page crawl limits restrict its value for multi-site work.
Con: Paid plans are priced on annual billing, so the entry $39.00/month rate is a yearly commitment rather than a monthly term.
Con: Position checks rise from 1,500 on Small Biz to 30,000 on Lead, so teams with check-heavy workloads need to account for that quota as they scale.

Verdict

Choose Raven Tools if your team needs SEO research, rank monitoring and customizable, white-label reporting under one roof, and its annual tiers match your campaign and position-check volume. Look elsewhere if you need a specialized tool, a lower-commitment monthly paid plan or more generous limits on a free account.
