Overview

Metaview combines agents for sourcing, outreach, application review, screening, interview notes, and reporting. Its sourcing agent creates a shortlist and adapts outreach to a team’s tone. Work can start after an intake call, with reviews, interviews, and hiring decisions feeding into later searches. That feedback loop is a stronger fit for teams coordinating repeated searches than for buyers seeking only a standalone interview-notes tool.

Automated scorecards and interviewer coaching support candidate evaluation, while recruiting-system connections include Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, and Workday. Video integrations include Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams; broader coverage spans ATS, conferencing, calendar and scheduling, and SSO providers, including Zapier. Teams moving from another tool can bulk-import transcripts, provided each batch has a consistent format.

Key features

Sourcing and evaluation

The sourcing agent pairs shortlist creation with tailored outreach, and later hiring feedback can inform subsequent searches. This joined-up approach may suit recruiters who want sourcing and evaluation to work in sequence, rather than assembling separate tools. The value depends on whether a team wants agents across those stages; a narrower workflow may not need the full breadth.

Recording and candidate controls

The Mac and Windows desktop app records conversations without a bot joining the call. Candidates can opt out, audio or video capture can be disabled, and customers can delete recordings or set retention policies. Recordings and transcripts are hosted in Metaview’s AWS UK environment, with a default two-year retention period that can be changed. These controls help teams manage recording preferences, but the default retention period is worth reviewing against their own policies.

Security and support

Metaview says it is SOC 2 Type II certified and supports GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and PIPEDA compliance. Customers can use its Help Center and email support. Enterprise customers receive dedicated support and training, a more substantial support offer than the general customer channels.

Pricing

The pricing model is freemium, with a free plan and paid plans billed monthly per user. The plan figures show distinct sourcing allowances, so teams should weigh those caps against the number of profiles they expect to source.

Free: The first 100 profiles sourced are free, with infinite concurrent searches. This gives a team room to try sourcing without a subscription, but the allowance is finite.
Pro: 100.00 USD per month, billed monthly per user, includes 200 profiles sourced per month and infinite concurrent searches. It suits users whose sourcing needs fit the monthly quota; users sourcing beyond it may prefer Max.
Max: 300.00 USD per month, billed monthly per user, includes unlimited profiles sourced and infinite concurrent searches. It removes the stated sourcing cap, but the per-user monthly price may be difficult to justify for teams with modest volume.
Enterprise: Custom pricing covers custom volume and usage, dedicated support and training, and enterprise security features. It is the option for organizations needing tailored usage or the added support and security features.
Agentic Recruiting Platform: Custom pricing covers the complete AI-powered recruiting suite with all agents and premium features. It is aimed at buyers seeking the full suite rather than a narrower plan.

The free plan and Pro and Max plan details specify infinite concurrent searches, while their sourced-profile allowances differ. The general paid-from figure is $60/user/mo, while the named Pro plan is 100.00 USD per month billed monthly per user; buyers should compare the plan terms against their own usage before choosing.

Platforms

Metaview lists macOS, Windows, and web as supported platforms, and also identifies a Chrome extension. Its desktop recording app is available for Mac and Windows. The combination serves teams working across desktop and browser workflows, though the recording app’s stated desktop availability is limited to those two operating systems.

Who it's for

Metaview says recruiters, hiring managers, search firms, and recruiting agencies use it, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. It is most compelling for teams with recurring hiring activity that want sourcing, outreach, review, interview support, and reporting connected. A team focused on occasional sourcing or interview notes alone may find its broader agent workflow and per-user plans unnecessary.

Pros and cons

Pros: Agents connect sourcing with later hiring feedback, which can improve subsequent searches.
Pros: ATS and video integrations cover commonly used recruiting workflows, and transcript imports support migration from another tool.
Pros: Candidate opt-out, capture controls, deletion, and adjustable retention give customers practical recording controls.
Cons: Pro caps sourcing at 200 profiles per month per user, while the free plan covers only the first 100 profiles.
Cons: Max costs 300.00 USD per month per user, a significant commitment for teams that do not need unlimited sourcing.
Cons: Recordings default to two years of retention, so customers should decide whether to change that setting.

Alternatives

For a different recruiting workflow, consider HireMIQ, whose free plan includes five job-description analyses a month, eight AI modules, Boolean search, candidate scoring, outreach templates, and assessments. Sprad is a fit for teams seeking a free ATS core with career-site, pipeline, team, and analytics functions. Hirin is another recruiting platform to compare. Pin suits a small-scale start: its free plan allows five contact lookups per week, one job position, one AI agent, and email-only sequences.

Talview offers tailored unit-based pricing, with a typical minimum commitment of approximately 150 to 200 candidates, which may suit teams buying individual features or bundles. Avery offers free search across vetted European profiles, ranked matches, and market views, but its free plan excludes outreach and contact details. Screened charges 66.00 USD per month billed annually for its Resumes plan, with up to five jobs, 1,000 candidates per month, and three team members. Adya Recruitment Agent is a paid alternative with a Starter plan at 149.00 USD per month, including 500 profiles screened and 50 hires closed monthly, with stated overage charges.

Verdict

Metaview is a strong fit for recruiting teams that want sourcing, candidate assessment, and interview workflows connected, with recording controls and broad recruiting integrations. Its main trade-off is the cost and sourcing limits of per-user plans: teams with modest volume should begin with the free allowance, while high-volume users should compare the unlimited sourcing plan with its 300.00 USD monthly per-user price. Look elsewhere if the team needs only a narrow recruiting function or cannot accept the default two-year recording retention without changing it.
