Overview

ChequePro combines cheque layout setup, printing and safeguards in an offline workflow. Ready-made templates cover supported banks, and a custom designer lets users create layouts for other banks. Data stays on the user's machine, which suits those who prefer desktop operation but not teams seeking browser-based access.

The maker, People Central Pte Ltd of Singapore, says it and ChequePro are ISO 27001 certified for information security management. That is relevant for organisations weighing information-security practices, though it does not change the product's one-device licence structure.

Key features

ChequePro prints onto an existing chequebook and supports MICR printing, blank-cheque printing and layout customisation. Its automatic amount-in-words, A/c Payee crossing and other tamper-protection features put safeguards into the cheque-printing process rather than leaving each step to the user.

Accounting data can be imported from a file. Business adds batch printing from CSV or Excel, which is the plan's clearest advantage for organisations processing many cheques; users with occasional cheques may not need that upgrade.

Paid plans include priority email support. Corporate also provides a dedicated account manager, a stronger support arrangement for organisations that value a named contact.

Pricing

The 30-day trial includes all features across the plans. After it ends, paid features deactivate while Free features remain available, so the trial gives a way to assess higher-tier functions before committing.

Plan	Price and terms	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free; free forever	1 device, up to 3 bank accounts and 1 company
Essential	99.00 USD per once; $99 one-time	1 device and unlimited bank accounts
Business	199.00 USD per once; $199 one-time	1 device, batch printing, multi-company and multi-user with role-based permissions
Corporate	299.00 USD per once; $299 one-time	1 device, 4-eyes authorisation, digital signature and dedicated account manager

Free is aimed at core cheque printing for individuals and small businesses, but its three-account and one-company caps make it restrictive for broader operations. Essential removes the bank-account cap while remaining limited to one device. Business is the practical step up for larger organisations that need batch printing or multiple companies and users; Corporate is for those needing dual authorisation, digital signatures and a dedicated account manager. All licences cover one device, so additional devices require separate licences. Paid plans are one-time purchases rather than recurring subscriptions.

Platforms

ChequePro runs on Windows as desktop software and works offline, with data stored on the user's machine. Its single-device licence means it is a poor fit for users who need shared access across multiple computers without separate licences.

Who it's for

ChequePro is a good fit for individuals and small businesses that print cheques on an existing bank chequebook and can work within Free's account and company limits. Essential suits users who need more bank accounts without the Business features. Larger organisations that print in batches or need role-based multi-user access should consider Business; Corporate is the option for organisations that require 4-eyes authorisation and a digital signature.

It is less suitable for teams that need browser-based access or a licence spanning several devices. Those needs conflict with its offline Windows model and per-device licensing.

Pros and cons

Pros: Offline operation and on-machine data storage suit users who want a desktop workflow without internet access.
Pros: Ready-made templates, a custom designer, MICR printing and file imports accommodate varied cheque layouts and accounting workflows.
Pros: Business and Corporate add concrete organisational controls, from batch printing and role-based permissions to 4-eyes authorisation.
Cons: Every licence covers one device, so multi-computer use requires additional licences.
Cons: Free is limited to three bank accounts and one company, which can force growing businesses onto a paid plan.
Cons: Offline Windows operation does not suit users who need web access or cross-platform availability.

Alternatives

Check Printing Software is the broader category for comparing cheque-printing options.

Choose CHECKPRINT if you want Android, iOS or web access; its free plan allows one bank account and unlimited checks, with PDFs carrying a watermark and checks stored for 30 days. Choose Zil Money if you need web or mobile access and prefer a free plan with limited monthly transactions or a business tier with unlimited transactions.

TROY AssurePay Check is an alternative for medium-to-large businesses seeking a paid option across desktop, mobile and web platforms. VersaCheck suits users willing to pay monthly for a product spanning desktop, mobile and web; its Silver plan is $14.98 USD per month for one user and three bank accounts.

CheckPrintPro is worth considering if you want hosted check printing across devices, with its Hosted plan at $9.99 USD per month. CheckWriter is another paid option across desktop, mobile and web, with its limited single-user cloud plan at $8.00 USD per month.

OnlineCheckWriter.com is a cloud-based alternative for users seeking check printing and mailing, with a plan at $5.00 USD per month. Checkrun may suit users looking for a paid web or mobile option with a free trial; its Business subscription is $50.00 USD per month and allows unlimited users.

Verdict

Choose ChequePro if you need offline Windows cheque printing on an existing chequebook, value built-in safeguards and can work within a one-device licence. Its one-time paid plans and clear steps from basic printing to batch and approval features are compelling; look elsewhere if your workflow depends on web access or shared use across devices.
