Overview

EPG LFS, also called EPG ONE WMS, is warehouse management software for complex operations where inventory, orders, and automation need to work together. It is best suited to multi-site operators and logistics teams with configurable processes; organizations seeking a simple, low-cost warehouse tool should look elsewhere.

Its broad operational scope is the main draw: LFS connects work from goods receipt through shipping with inventory visibility and automation integrations. A pre-configured standard package offers a starting point, with additional modules pre-installed for activation as needed. EPG can arrange a test environment for prospective customers to evaluate before putting the system into service.

Key features

Warehouse execution and visibility

LFS automates warehouse workflows from receiving to shipping and provides real-time inventory visibility, dashboards, and analytics. Barcode and RFID scanning support accuracy across receiving, picking, and shipping; cycle counting, batch picking, and shipping labels are also supported. Together, these capabilities suit teams that need stock control tied closely to daily execution, rather than a standalone inventory record.

Automation, integration, and scale

The system connects with ERP, transport, and supply-chain applications, as well as conveyor systems and material-flow controllers. EPG says it connects to common ERP systems and has been SAP-certified since 1997. Its multi-tenant architecture supports multiple warehouses and clients at different automation levels, making it a better fit for complex or shared operations than a single-site workflow.

AI-powered insights are intended to identify patterns, exceptions, and opportunities to optimize warehouse data. That may help teams look beyond routine transaction processing, but the described role is analytical; the core case remains configurable warehouse execution and connectivity.

Industry workflows

Retail and e-commerce capabilities include multi-order picking, smart order consolidation, and returns management. Third-party logistics providers get logistics-service billing, value-added services, and centralized access to connected sites. These targeted functions strengthen the case for those operators, while the configurable process model also addresses automotive, chemicals and healthcare, electronics, manufacturing, food and beverage, and textile operations.

Pricing

EPG ONE WMS (LFS) has custom pricing. EPG says a fixed price is not possible because requirements, project scope, processes, and functions vary by customer; the product page invites prospective buyers to request a demo rather than showing a price. This quote-led model is reasonable for projects whose scale and integrations differ, but it makes early budget comparison harder than with a published monthly plan.

There are no lower published tiers to compare. The standard version is a pre-configured starter package, with additional modules pre-installed for activation as needed, but EPG does not attach a public price or seat and usage limits to it. Buyers should scope the required processes and functions with EPG. A test environment can be arranged for evaluation before deployment.

Platforms

LFS is available on Android, iOS, Linux, web, and Windows, as well as through self-hosted deployment. EPG offers both on-premise and cloud-based SaaS deployment, giving organizations a choice of operating model. That breadth is useful for mixed warehouse environments, though the appropriate deployment will depend on the project's requirements.

Who it's for

LFS is a strong candidate for warehouse operators managing multiple sites or clients, connecting material-handling automation, or coordinating specialized workflows such as 3PL billing and e-commerce returns. EPG also describes support as available worldwide, around the clock, seven days a week, and says it holds a SOC 2 Type II certificate based on an external audit of its internal control system.

Smaller operations with straightforward stock needs, or buyers who require a transparent fixed price before engaging a vendor, are less likely to find this a natural fit. Its project-specific pricing and broad scope point toward a deliberate implementation decision rather than a lightweight purchase.

Pros and cons

Broad warehouse coverage: Workflow automation spans receipt to shipping, with inventory visibility, cycle counting, batch picking, and shipping labels supporting day-to-day execution.
Designed for connected, multi-site operations: Multi-tenant support and integrations with ERP and automation equipment serve organizations with several warehouses, clients, or automation levels.
Relevant specialist workflows: Retail and e-commerce picking and returns functions, plus 3PL billing and value-added services, address needs beyond basic stock management.
Custom pricing limits quick comparison: No public price or standard tier cost means buyers must define scope and request a quote before assessing the budget.
Broad scope may be unnecessary for simpler warehouses: Teams without multi-site, integration, or specialized process needs may be better served by a narrower tool.

Alternatives

Warehouse Management Software is the broader category directory for comparing warehouse systems.

Ongoing WMS is worth comparing if a free trial and a direct-to-carrier shipment charge of €0.03 per shipment better suit your evaluation or shipping needs.
OpenBoxes is a better starting point for buyers seeking a free plan: its Community Self-Hosted option is free, with unlimited users and self-managed storage on your server.
Made4net WMS is another paid, custom-priced option for teams comparing systems across Android, iOS, Linux, self-hosted, web, and Windows.
OpenWMS.org is a free option for buyers prioritizing a free plan across Android, API, iOS, Linux, self-hosted, and web.
Packiyo WMS may suit a 3PL seeking a published tier: its 3PL plan costs 949.00 USD per month and includes five users and up to 5,000 shipments per month.
Sentry WMS is a free, self-hosted option; its free open-source plan does not yet include first-party ERP or commerce connectors.
ShipHero WMS is an alternative for brands considering a published monthly price: its Standard WMS for Brands plan costs 1995.00 USD per month.
Foxfire is another paid warehouse software option.

Verdict

Choose EPG LFS if your operation needs configurable workflows across multiple warehouses or clients, particularly where ERP and material-flow automation must connect to warehouse execution. Its breadth, industry-specific functions, and deployment choices make it a serious fit for complex logistics; the main reason to look elsewhere is the custom quote process, especially if your needs are simple or a published price is essential.
