Overview

FinStak combines sales-funnel tracking with tools for outreach, workflows, and projects. Leads move through a funnel, while deals can be organized across multiple pipelines and stages. Financial planning, compliance workflows, and a document vault are also among its capabilities.

The combination is most compelling for advisory practices that want client acquisition and internal work coordinated in a single product. Firms seeking only CRM functionality can start with Basic; broader marketing and project tools require a higher tier.

Key features

Sales, marketing, and collection

Workflows can send email notifications, create tasks, and update fields, which can reduce routine follow-up work. Email marketing includes templates, drip campaigns, one-off emails, and delivery and read tracking. Embedded web forms collect leads, while survey responses appear in CRM contact records. That connection makes the outreach tools particularly relevant to firms that want prospect information close to their sales process.

Controls, integrations, and projects

FinStak lists audit logs, two-factor authentication, regular backups, and role and profile permissions. Two data backups per month are free, and users can choose the backup frequency and day of the week. Calendar and task syncing with Microsoft365 or Google can help align daily work with existing calendars.

FinStak Projects adds Gantt charts, tasks, issues, and milestones. That is useful for practices tracking work beyond the sales funnel, but it sits in Pro rather than the CRM-only Basic plan. The mobile application is available for iOS and Android.

Pricing

FinStak has a free plan and a 14-day trial. The trial requires no credit card, and the company also offers a roughly 30-minute live web-conference demo with Q&A. Paid plans charge per user and add one-time setup fees, so team size and the needed feature set both affect the decision.

Basic: $60 /user/month billed annually, or $70 month-to-month, with a $500 setup fee. It is CRM Only, making it the entry point for firms that need lead and deal management without the Pro add-ons.
Pro: $80 /user/month billed annually, or $90 month-to-month, with a $1,000 setup fee. It includes Basic, FinStak Forms, FinStak Survey, and FinStak Projects. This is the fit for firms that need embedded forms, surveys, and project tracking alongside CRM.
Premier: $100 /user/month billed annually, or $125 month-to-month, with a $2,000 setup fee. It includes Pro and FinStak Analytics, so it is for buyers who also need that additional capability.

Moving from Basic to Pro adds substantial per-user and setup costs, so firms that do not need forms, surveys, or Projects have a reason to stay with the lower tier. Month-to-month billing costs more than annual billing at every paid level; Premier carries the largest setup fee as well as the highest monthly rate. The free plan’s caps are not described, so it cannot be judged as a long-term option for a particular team size.

Platforms

FinStak runs on web, Android, and iOS. Its mobile availability suits advisors who need access away from a desk, while the web version serves office-based work.

Who it's for

FinStak identifies independent financial advisors, planners, solo advisors, ensemble practices, registered investment advisory firms, enterprise firms, broker-dealers, and wealth management firms as audiences. Its tiered features can suit small practices starting with CRM as well as firms wanting marketing and project tools, though the per-user pricing and setup fees deserve particular attention as teams grow.

Pros and cons

Pro: Multiple pipelines and stages, workflow automation, and integrated email marketing give advisory practices tools for prospect follow-up and campaigns in one CRM.
Pro: Two free backups per month, configurable backup timing, audit logs, two-factor authentication, and role and profile permissions provide useful operational controls.
Pro: Pro adds forms, surveys, and Gantt-based project tracking, while Premier adds analytics.
Con: Basic is CRM Only; firms wanting Forms, Survey, or Projects must move to Pro and pay more per user plus a higher setup fee.
Con: Month-to-month rates exceed annual rates, and setup fees range from $500 to $2,000, creating meaningful upfront costs.
Con: The Help Center is coming soon; the listed support route is a Contact Help Desk option.

Verdict

FinStak is a strong fit for financial advisory practices that want CRM, marketing, and project tracking together and can justify the per-user fees and setup costs. Choose Basic if CRM alone is enough; look elsewhere if you need a lower-commitment option or cannot justify the setup charge for the features your team needs.
