Overview

Goaltree is built around moving from intention to action: describe a goal, get a structured plan, then work from five selected tasks each day. The selection considers urgency, progress and momentum, and users can request more tasks after completing the first batch. That keeps the day focused, though people who prefer to choose freely from a complete task backlog may find the shortlist restrictive.

Goals can be grouped into Health, Career, Mind, Finance, Relationships and Creative, and viewed as a structured list, drag-and-drop Kanban board or node graph. These views offer different ways to inspect progress; dedicated goal-review tools are not included among the plan features.

Key features

AI breaks a described goal into milestones, targets and concrete tasks. This gives broad ambitions a working structure, but users who need precise control over every step may want to review the generated plan rather than assume it fits unchanged.

Replanning can follow a task being skipped three times, a missed milestone deadline or a direct request. Completed milestones remain intact, so revising the remaining route need not erase progress already made.

Google Calendar integration, included with Pro, checks the schedule when selecting daily tasks and adjusts the workload to fit the day. A Model Context Protocol server lets compatible AI assistants read goals, show today’s tasks and mark tasks complete; Goaltree says it uses OAuth. These integrations are useful for people who want planning to account for their calendar or work through a compatible assistant.

Goals can be shared by link, with editing access for collaborators, who can see live cursors and updates. The PWA can be installed on Mac, Windows or Linux, and Goaltree also describes iOS and Android apps. Account authentication uses magic links, so keeping the account email valid and secure matters. Users retain ownership of their content; Goaltree licenses it to store, process and display the service, and says it is not used for advertising or sold to third parties. The service is for users aged 13 and older.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes three active goals, AI goal breakdown, a Today view with five tasks per day, the web app and basic analytics. Its cap is workable for a small set of priorities, but five AI structuring uses per month constrain experimentation and frequent replanning.

Pro costs 9.00 USD per month, billed monthly, with annual billing also offered at 33% savings. It adds unlimited goals, AI structuring and replanning, Google Calendar integration, voice goal capture, native iOS and Android apps, streak tracking, advanced analytics and priority support. It is the practical choice for an individual whose goals exceed the free cap or who wants calendar-aware task selection. Student and nonprofit discount inquiries go to hello@goaltree.ai.

Teams is priced at 16.00 USD per month per user and is marked “Soon.” It promises everything in Pro plus shared goals and progress, a team Today view, manager dashboard, admin controls, SSO / SAML and dedicated onboarding. Those features target organizations rather than individual planners, but the plan is not yet available.

Platforms

Goaltree supports web, Android, iOS, Linux, macOS and Windows. The installable PWA extends desktop access across Mac, Windows and Linux, while native mobile apps are part of Pro.

Who it's for

Goaltree suits individuals who need help translating several goals into manageable daily work, especially when schedule-aware planning or automatic replanning matters. The free plan is a useful fit for testing the approach with a few active goals. People who want robust goal-review tools, unrestricted free use or an already-available team plan should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Daily tasks are selected using urgency, progress and momentum, making the app more directed than a static goal list.
Pro: Replanning responds to repeated skips and missed deadlines while preserving completed milestones.
Pro: Multiple goal views and calendar-aware task selection serve different planning styles and day-to-day constraints.
Con: Free access is capped at three active goals and five AI structuring uses each month.
Con: Dedicated goal-review tools are absent from the plan features, limiting support for structured reflection.
Con: The collaboration-focused Teams plan is marked “Soon,” so organizations cannot rely on it as a current option.

Verdict

Choose Pro when the free limits become a barrier; look elsewhere if goal reviews are essential or you need team collaboration now.
