Overview

GregMat is a study service for exam candidates and applicants who want guided plans, practice and classes in one place. It suits budget-conscious learners who can work independently; its broad subject range and free starting point are appealing, but its limits around exam coverage and break accommodations matter.

Its scope spans GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, grammar, admissions and statement-of-purpose advice. It does not cover GRE Subject Tests, SAT or ACT, and it does not guarantee GRE score increases. Treat it as preparation support, not an assurance of a particular result.

Key features

Plans and practice

Revision plans, adaptive practice and full-length mock tests provide more structure than a question bank alone. The free account is a useful sampler, while paid subscriptions unlock more exam-specific plans and tools. For GRE study, GregMat+ brings plans, practice and memorization tools together; separate GMAT and TOEFL plans keep those subjects at a low monthly price.

Classes and study materials

GregMat+ subscribers can join all live classes each week and watch recordings in the member area. Video downloads work through the app, not the website, so learners who rely on offline viewing need to use the app. Classes use official ETS quantitative and verbal guides but generally avoid practice-test material, a distinction worth noting for students seeking ETS-style test practice.

Community and accessibility

Community discussion takes place in forums rather than Discord, with support also available from a support team. The site supports common Windows accessibility tools and videos have automatic subtitles. Users with visual or auditory impairments can request a free trial before subscribing. Students with approved breaks must use Untimed mode and time themselves manually, an inconvenient workaround for timed practice.

Pricing

The free account costs 0.00 USD per free and includes three GRE full practice tests, selected free videos and practice resources, and the first modules of selected study plans. A study-plan sample, Vocab Mountain and free practice exams and tools provide further ways to try the service. This is a substantial entry point, but it is not equivalent to full access.

GregMAT+ costs 11.99 USD per month for new subscribers, billed monthly. It includes GRE study plans, live and recorded classes, GRE practice and memorization tools, and app access. It is the natural choice for GRE candidates who value structured study and classes. Adding PrepSwift costs 14.99 USD per month and adds bite-sized videos and quizzes, which better suits learners who prefer shorter lessons.

GMAT and TOEFL plans each cost 3.00 USD per month, billed monthly. The GMAT plan includes a study plan, videos, practice problems and memorization tools; the TOEFL plan includes study resources, practice problems and vocabulary tools. These are inexpensive subject-specific options, but they do not include the GRE-focused GregMAT+ package. Six-month GregMAT+ and GregMAT+ with PrepSwift plans are also offered at custom pricing.

Eligible existing subscribers keep their old rate while maintaining a valid subscription. Subscribers can participate in weekly live classes and access recordings; there is no GRE score guarantee. PrepSwift is an add-on rather than part of the base GregMAT+ price.

Platforms

GregMat supports the web, iOS, Android and macOS on M1 or higher. App access is included with GregMAT+, and video downloads are app-only. That makes the app important for offline viewing, while Mac users need an M1-or-newer device.

Who it's for

GregMat is best for self-directed GRE, GMAT or TOEFL candidates who want plans and practice without committing to an expensive package, and for IELTS or admissions learners drawn to its wider subject coverage. It is a weaker fit for GRE Subject Test, SAT or ACT candidates, students who require a score guarantee, or approved-break students unwilling to time Untimed practice manually.

Pros and cons

Pros: A free account includes three GRE full practice tests and selected study materials, making it possible to begin without a subscription.
Pros: GregMAT+ combines GRE plans, practice tools and weekly live classes with recordings, useful for learners who want a recurring class schedule as well as independent study.
Pros: GMAT and TOEFL plans cost 3.00 USD per month each and include subject-specific study and practice resources.
Cons: Coverage excludes GRE Subject Tests, SAT and ACT, so candidates for those exams need another service.
Cons: Approved-break students must self-time Untimed mode, reducing the convenience of timed practice.
Cons: Offline video downloads are restricted to the app, not the website.

Alternatives

For a directory of other exam-preparation choices, browse Exam Prep Apps. Candidates focused on PTE should consider PTE Tutorials, whose free plan includes practice questions, model answers and mobile app access. Gurully is another PTE alternative, with a free trial and paid Prime Membership options.

For GMAT candidates who specifically want official materials, GMAT Official Prep offers a free starter kit with two full-length practice exams. Kaplan Test Prep is another broad test-prep option. IELTS candidates may prefer IELTS Ready, which offers free access after registration and two full mock tests. AMBOSS, LSAT Demon and Medify are alternatives for readers comparing other exam-preparation services.

Verdict

Choose GregMat if you want affordable, structured preparation for the GRE, GMAT or TOEFL, especially if free GRE materials or GregMAT+ classes fit your study style. Its blend of plans, practice and instruction is the central reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if your exam is outside its coverage, you need a GRE score guarantee, or approved-break accommodations make manual timing an unacceptable compromise.
