Overview

GymKonex is a gym operations platform for owners who want membership, payments, entry and sales tools alongside class scheduling. It is best suited to gyms and studios that need connected front-desk and member-facing workflows; its breadth is compelling, but the right plan depends heavily on how many members and staff accounts a location needs.

Its scope extends from member profiles and class capacity management to ZKTeco access control, point of sale and multi-location administration. That makes it more relevant to operators coordinating facility operations than to coaches looking only for workout programming.

Key features

Membership, classes and entry

Member records and class schedules share a system, with capacity limits and automated waitlists to manage oversubscribed sessions. Integration with ZKTeco standalone and web-based controllers can grant or suspend entry based on membership status. This is a practical fit for facilities using compatible hardware, but the access feature depends on that equipment.

Billing and sales

Recurring credit-card and SEPA direct-debit billing comes with payment retries and custom dunning notifications, giving operators tools to follow up on failed payments. The eCommerce shop and POS handle merchandise, supplements and digital plans, with product variants, stock alerts and PDF invoices. This combination suits businesses selling products as well as memberships; it is broader than a booking-only setup.

Multiple locations and member apps

Multi-location tools centralize reports, share member data and synchronize pricing across branches. Native white-label iOS and Android apps offer QR entry, booking calendars and push notifications, useful for operators who want a branded member experience. GymKonex also supports booking, in-app payments, workout content and member messaging.

Security and support

Data in transit uses TLS 1.2 or newer, and stored customer data uses AES-256 encryption. The maker says it backs up data daily across multiple geographic locations and sends breach notices without undue delay, where feasible within 72 hours. Paid tiers include 24/7 support; responses typically arrive within a few hours on business days and within 24 hours on weekends.

Pricing

GymKonex offers a free plan and a 14-day trial without a credit card. Paid plans include 24/7 support, but their stated capacity limits make plan selection important.

Starter: 149.99 XAF per year, for 1 location, 5 staff accounts and 50 members. Its low annual price may suit a small operation, but the 50-member ceiling leaves little room to grow.
Starter plan: 15000.00 XAF per month, for 5 staff members, 150 members and one gym room. This is the more workable entry point for a single site that has outgrown the smaller cap.
Business plan: 25000.00 XAF per month, for 15 staff members, 300 members and one gym room. It raises both team and membership capacity without adding another room.
Premium plan: 50000.00 XAF per month, for 30 staff members, 500 members and 3 gym rooms. It fits a larger facility that needs room for more members and training areas.
Enterprise plan: 150000.00 XAF per month, for 150 staff members, 2000 members and 10 gym rooms. This tier is aimed at large operations with substantial staffing and room requirements.

Compare the paid tiers against your required member, staff and room capacity before committing; the plan names alone do not indicate what additional features differ by tier.

Platforms

GymKonex runs on the web and on Android and iOS. Its white-label member apps are native to iOS and Android.

Who it's for

The product serves gyms, CrossFit boxes, martial arts academies, yoga and Pilates studios, HIIT studios and personal training businesses. It is a stronger fit for operators who need billing, access hardware or multi-location administration than for a coach seeking only a client-training tool.

Pros and cons

Pro: Membership status can drive entry permissions through compatible ZKTeco controllers, connecting administration with facility access.
Pro: Billing follow-up, retail sales and multi-location management sit alongside class scheduling, reducing the need to piece together separate operating workflows.
Pro: White-label apps include QR entry, bookings and push notifications for a branded member experience.
Con: The smallest stated paid tier caps membership at 50, while larger capacities require higher monthly prices.
Con: The access-control integration is specifically for ZKTeco hardware, so it is not a general-purpose hardware option.

ABC Trainerize offers a free plan for one coaching client and a 9.00 USD per month Grow plan, making it an option for coaches focused on a small client roster.
PushPress has a free plan with no monthly fees and charges transaction fees; choose it if that pricing structure and its web, iOS and Android availability better suit your operation.
Gym360 App Studio starts at 20.00 USD per month per site for Lite, which has no branded app; its Pro plan is 50.00 USD per month per site.
Gymkee is a paid alternative with a Starter annual option at 28.00 USD per year and a monthly Starter at 34.00 USD per month.
SharkFit has free meal and workout logging for individuals; its business or gym plan is quoted per gym.
FitBudd starts at 15.00 USD per month for 2 clients, with an additional $4 / client / month over that cap; its 79.00 USD per month Pro plan may suit a larger coaching roster.

Verdict

Choose GymKonex if you run a gym or studio that needs membership billing, compatible ZKTeco entry, retail and branch-level administration in one system, especially if a branded member app matters. Look elsewhere if you need a low-cost plan for a growing membership: its smallest stated paid tier tops out at 50 members, and higher limits come with higher monthly prices.
