Overview

HunoMenu combines customer-facing QR orders with a cloud POS. Food trucks can adjust menus or prices by location, while customers scan a code and order from a mobile browser without an app download. Direct UPI payments go to the merchant’s bank account, and the maker says it charges no order commissions. That combination may suit operators who want to avoid a per-order platform charge, though it does not establish the full cost of a paid subscription.

The product is made by Hoximoxin Info Tech Private Limited and targets India’s food-service sector. A free tier and a trial that requires no credit card lower the barrier to trying it; the food-truck page advertises setup in 15 minutes. Those are useful entry points, not a substitute for understanding the subscription terms before committing.

Key features

Menus and ordering

Merchants can create menus with item variations and photos, schedule menus, and toggle stock live. These controls are practical for changing availability and service windows, while location-based menu and pricing changes are particularly relevant to mobile food businesses. Customers order through a mobile browser after scanning a QR code, avoiding the friction of an app installation.

Payments and kitchen flow

HunoMenu connects ordering with mobile checkout and cloud POS syncing across devices. Orders can route to thermal printers over Wi-Fi, LAN, USB, or Bluetooth, and customers can receive order-status updates. This gives operators several ways to connect kitchen tickets to their setup, although the range of printer connections does not by itself establish how each configuration is managed.

Add-ons and operations

Optional integrations extend the ordering flow. The WhatsApp add-on supports checkout, digital receipts, and status messages through WhatsApp Web links or the WhatsApp Cloud API. A Google Business Profile add-on places an ordering URL on Search and Maps listings. An offline desktop billing add-on supports local-network printing and automatic cloud sync, a useful distinction for businesses that need billing to continue without an internet connection.

HunoMenu also supports inventory tracking, staff permissions, and multiple locations. Merchant accounts, client details, and store transactions are protected using SSL technology, according to the maker. Support options include WhatsApp help, email concierge, and a knowledge base with guides and video tutorials.

Pricing

HunoMenu uses a freemium model: a free tier is available, and paid subscriptions can be billed monthly or yearly. The maker says there is no commission on sales. Paid plans are custom pricing, so operators should confirm the subscription cost and terms before choosing a paid tier.

The free plan can provide a way to assess the service without a subscription, and the no-credit-card trial is a low-commitment starting point. But the free-plan caps and paid-tier differences are not clear enough to judge whether the free option will support a working operation or where an upgrade becomes necessary. Teams comparing costs should also confirm any relevant seat or location limits directly before committing.

Platforms

HunoMenu lists Android, iOS, web, and Windows among its platforms, but its downloads page describes a narrower current app picture: Windows 10/11 software and an Android app for Android 8.0 or later are listed, along with an Android TV/Fire OS app. The iOS app is marked as coming soon. Customers can place QR orders in a mobile browser without installing an app, but operators who depend on a native iOS app should treat that gap as material.

Who it's for

HunoMenu is best suited to food trucks and food-service businesses that want location-aware menus, browser-based QR ordering, and a POS that can route tickets to thermal printers. The direct UPI payment flow and stated absence of order commissions align especially well with operators in India who want customer payments sent to their own bank account. It is less suitable for buyers who need published paid-plan costs to make a firm budget decision, or who require an iOS app today.

Pros and cons

Pro: Customers can order by QR in a mobile browser, so an app download is not required.
Pro: Location-based menu and price changes, live stock toggles, and scheduled menus address day-to-day food-truck changes.
Pro: Printer routing supports Wi-Fi, LAN, USB, and Bluetooth, giving operators multiple connection options for kitchen tickets and receipts.
Pro: The maker says orders carry no commission, and direct UPI payments go to the merchant’s bank account.
Con: Paid-plan costs are custom pricing, making subscription comparisons difficult before contacting the maker.
Con: The iOS app is coming soon, limiting operators who need a native iPhone or iPad app now.
Con: Free-plan caps and paid-plan distinctions are unclear, so buyers cannot readily determine when the free tier will stop being sufficient.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of options aimed at mobile food businesses, see Food Truck POS Software.

Biyo POS is worth considering if you want a free plan and need broader platform coverage, including Linux and macOS, as well as a Standard plan priced at 47.00 USD per month. Its free Premium + Processing plan is limited to US businesses and carries processing fees.
Loyverse may fit a business that values a free POS with 31 days of sales history and can pay 5.00 USD per month for unlimited history. HunoMenu is more directly positioned around food-truck location-based menus and QR ordering.
eHopper is another freemium option across Android, iOS, web, and Windows, with plans priced at 14.99 USD per month and 24.99 USD per month. It may be a better fit for buyers who prefer published monthly plan prices.
CartFlow is a freemium alternative for event-oriented inventory and sales tracking; its Free plan caps events, sales records, products, recipes, stock items, venues, and tasks.
Paloma365 is a paid alternative with a Startup plan at 23.00 USD per month, suited to buyers who want a published starting price and a stated allowance of one location and one workstation with unlimited users and printers.
SOMENU POS is another paid POS option for readers comparing food-service software.
SpotOn Restaurant may suit businesses seeking POS software and hardware, ordering, payments, table layouts, and menu management under an All-In plan, though processing minimums and a two-year minimum term apply.
Zeller is a freemium POS alternative with no monthly subscription or software licence fee, but it requires a Zeller Terminal and transaction fees apply.

Verdict

Choose HunoMenu if you run a food truck or food-service business in India and want QR ordering, flexible menus, direct UPI payments, and printer routing in one cloud POS. Its stated no-commission model and browser ordering are meaningful advantages. Look elsewhere if you need a native iOS app now or require clear paid-plan pricing and limits before evaluating a subscription.
