Overview

Kittl is a web-based design editor combining templates, illustration tools, presentations, brand kits, and AI generation. It suits creators and small teams making visual content, especially sellers preparing storefront graphics; the free plan is useful for personal projects, but commercial work requires a paid plan.

Key features

Kittl goes beyond preset layouts with background removal, image upscaling, vectorization, text effects, mockups, and an infinite canvas. Templates and photos, graphics, and fonts offer starting material, while brand kits and real-time collaboration help keep shared work consistent. Additional editors are charged according to the selected plan, so collaboration may raise the cost as a team grows.

AI image, vector, and video generation and an AI creative agent broaden the editor’s uses, but the free tier’s 100 one-time tokens make sustained experimentation a paid-plan decision. Expert and Max plans receive daily token batches; Expert gets 200 and Max gets 600. Sellers can also create Shopify banners, Etsy banners, and Etsy listings.

Pricing

Kittl is freemium. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and lasts forever. It allows five projects and 100 AI tokens once, alongside 1M+ photos, graphics, and fonts. Its personal-use-only terms rule it out for commercial work. Free users can preview most Pro features with light usage limits, which helps assess the editor before paying.

Pro costs 168.00 USD per year with annual billing, equivalent to $14/user/mo (annual). It includes unlimited projects, 2,000 AI tokens per month, 10,000+ premium templates and mockups, and 10 GB file storage. This is the practical step up for regular creators who need commercial licensing, premium assets, and room beyond five projects, though its monthly token allowance may not suit heavy AI use.

Expert costs 468.00 USD per year with annual billing. It provides 12,000 AI tokens per month, 100M+ curated assets, and 100 GB storage, alongside the paid-plan benefits of commercial licensing, high-resolution and vector exports, larger project limits, and more AI tokens. Its 200-token daily batch favors professionals with faster, more consistent workflows; it costs substantially more than Pro. Max also receives 600 tokens daily, but no price or other plan details are included here.

Plans renew monthly or annually according to the billing option selected. Subscribers can cancel anytime in account settings and retain access through the billing cycle. Kittl accepts Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Amex through Stripe; transactions use 256-bit SSL encryption.

Platforms

Kittl runs on the web, with no desktop or mobile app. It is a fit for browser-based work, not for users who require a dedicated app.

Who it's for

Individual creators who need templates, illustration tools, and AI in one browser editor can start with the free tier for personal work, then move to Pro for commercial projects and larger limits. Expert better suits professionals who need a much larger asset library, storage, and token allowance. Sellers may value the Shopify and Etsy formats; Kittl says more than 10 million creatives use the platform. Support channels include its Help Center, contact page, YouTube, Discord, and blog.

Pros and cons

Pro: Templates, mockups, illustration features, and AI generation sit alongside brand kits and real-time collaboration in one web editor.
Pro: The free plan offers 1M+ photos, graphics, and fonts and previews most Pro features, so personal users can explore before upgrading.
Con: Five free projects, 100 one-time tokens, and no commercial rights constrain the free plan for ongoing or paid work.
Con: No desktop or mobile app means access depends on the web editor.
Con: Additional editors incur charges under the selected plan, making team costs dependent on seat count.

Alternatives

For a dedicated apparel-mockup workflow, MockupFit offers unlimited garment designs and mockup downloads on its free plan, though it has no AI credits there. Screenhance Apparel Mockup Generator is another freemium apparel-mockup option, with three monthly exports at 1x resolution on its free tier. Choose ClozDesign if its free allowance of three projects and 20 MB image storage fits; exports require Pro. Mock It offers a seven-day free trial before its Standard monthly plan. FastEditor, w3D, inkXE, and Printonator are also alternatives.

Verdict

Kittl is a strong choice for creators and sellers who want templates, image and vector tools, and AI generation in one browser editor, with collaboration and brand features available as needs grow. Choose Pro when commercial rights and higher project limits matter; look elsewhere if you need a native app, or a free plan for commercial work.
