Overview

The platform covers workplace safety, induction, leadership, governance, compliance and employee mental health literacy. Its subscription includes more than 200 pre-built courses and assessments in multiple languages, while the Course Builder supports company-specific material. Founded in 2014, the business began trading as Training Improvement Solutions in July 2024.

Tap Into Safety handles learning, not the full cycle of safety operations. It supports safety training and hazard assessments, but not incident management, safety inspections or corrective actions. That boundary makes it a better fit for a training-led program than for a team seeking one system to manage safety events and follow-up work.

Key features

Courses and authoring

Safety lessons use 360-degree panoramas of realistic workplaces, asking employees to identify hazards and choose controls. This gives the safety library a scenario-based format. Customers can also create courses, edit TIS courses, build assessments and attach documents for acknowledgement, which helps adapt standard learning to workplace procedures.

Reporting and integrations

Employee and company-wide reports cover course results and knowledge gaps, with certificates and webhook transfer of results. The platform supports SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 4th Edition, an API, webhooks, single sign-on and a URL that can be linked from an LMS or portal. The important trade-off is that SCORM packages do not issue TIS completion certificates: the customer’s LMS must handle completion tracking.

Security and support

TIS says it encrypts sensitive information in transit and at rest, and gives its SaaS service a 99.5% uptime level. Organisations can require optional two-factor authentication. The vendor advertises unlimited support and provides phone support at 1300 901 849.

Pricing

A seven-day Free Demo is free and provides access to a selection of courses. It is a short way to review some content, not an ongoing free tier. The paid plans are annual unlimited-use subscriptions priced by employee band:

Plan	Price	Employee band
Entry Level	3000.00 USD per year	20 users
Annual Unlimited Use — 1–20 Employees	3000.00 USD per year	1–20 employees
Annual Unlimited Use — 21–50 Employees	6000.00 USD per year	21–50 employees
Annual Unlimited Use — 51–100 Employees	10000.00 USD per year	51–100 employees
Annual Unlimited Use — 101–200 Employees	17000.00 USD per year	101–200 employees
Annual Unlimited Use — 201–300 Employees	20000.00 USD per year	201–300 employees
Annual Unlimited Use — 301–500 Employees	25000.00 USD per year	301–500 employees
Annual Unlimited Use — 501–1,000 Employees	36000.00 USD per year	501–1,000 employees
Annual Unlimited Use — 1,001–2,000 Employees	45000.00 USD per year	1,001–2,000 employees

Entry Level states an annual unlimited-use subscription for 20 users. The employee-band plans specify annual fees in AUD excl. GST despite their displayed prices being expressed in USD per year, so buyers should clarify the billing currency and tax treatment before committing. The banded prices rise with workforce size; they are not a per-active-user rate. Disabled users continue occupying a seat until the current annual cycle expires, and users who have started a course in that cycle cannot be deleted. Those rules matter to organisations with frequent staff turnover because unused or departed-user seats may remain tied up during the cycle.

Platforms

Training runs online on computers and tablets, and most courses can be accessed on mobile phones. The platform supports Android, iOS and web. TIS names Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Safari as supported browsers; it cautions that Android support cannot be guaranteed, although most modern Android phones should work with Chrome. Organisations planning mobile-first training should account for that caveat.

Who it's for

Tap Into Safety suits Australian employers that need a substantial course library, custom learning content and organisation-wide visibility into results. It is particularly relevant where scenario-based safety lessons and employee mental health literacy belong in the same training program. The annual employee bands and seat rules are less suitable for organisations that need highly flexible user turnover, while the absence of incident management, inspections and corrective actions rules it out as a standalone operational safety system.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad learning coverage: More than 200 courses and assessments in multiple languages cover safety as well as induction, leadership, governance, compliance and mental health literacy.
Adaptable training: Course creation, editing, assessments and acknowledgement documents let employers supplement the ready-made library.
Useful learning oversight: Employee and company-wide reporting on results and knowledge gaps is supported by certificates and webhook result transfer.
Integration options: SCORM, API, webhooks, single sign-on and an LMS- or portal-linked URL support several ways to connect training to existing systems.

Cons

Not a complete safety-management system: There are no incident-management, safety-inspection or corrective-action tools.
SCORM certificate gap: Customers must rely on their own LMS for completion tracking and certificates are not issued by TIS for SCORM packages.
Seats can be inflexible: Disabled users retain seats through the annual cycle, and course starters cannot be deleted during that cycle.
Android caveat: Support is not guaranteed, which complicates a program that depends on consistent Android access.

Alternatives

Safety Management Software is a useful starting point for comparing products in the wider category.

Safesite is worth considering if a free plan is important: its Free plan allows unlimited members and guests, though reporting is restricted to the last 30 days; Premium is 16.00 USD per month per member.
HammerTech may fit project teams that need free subcontractor access provided by the general contractor, with a paid tailored plan for broader use.
Donesafe offers custom pricing based on application modules, worker count and support services, making it an alternative when those factors should shape the quote.
EHS Insight may suit buyers seeking a cloud-based small- and medium-business solution with a mobile app that supports offline use, dashboards and reports.
Safety Evolution is an alternative with active-user pricing, monthly or annual quote options and reduced pricing for 100+ active users.
VelocityEHS may suit organisations looking for a broader suite, with 24+ EHS products, universal licensing and fixed-cost implementation.
BeaconHS is another option to compare.
J. J. Keller Safety Management Suite is worth comparing for a Corporate plan that includes unlimited users, unlimited training enrollments and a Diamond Support Package.

Verdict

Choose Tap Into Safety if your priority is a broad, adaptable workplace training program with reporting that spans course results and knowledge gaps. Its main advantage is bringing ready-made courses and authoring tools together; its main reasons to look elsewhere are the lack of operational safety workflows, the SCORM certificate limitation and annual seat rules that constrain turnover.
