Overview

Vecteezy is an online marketplace for licensing stock photos, vectors, illustrations, editorial assets and footage, with an editor and API access. It suits designers who need a steady source of creative assets, and teams that need shared access and controls. Pro’s broad library and commercial rights make it the stronger choice for ongoing work; the free tier is better for occasional downloads.

Key features

The marketplace combines vector, illustration and editorial assets with photos, footage and templates. Vecteezy adds thousands of professional-quality resources each day, while Pro opens access to more than 60 million images, videos and other assets. That breadth helps cover varied creative needs from one source, but the free allowance of five downloads per month is too small for regular production.

Pro subscriptions include unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads, full commercial rights and no attribution requirement. Licensed content is royalty free. Pro content has $10,000 in legal protection, and Pro includes priority support. The 30-day money-back guarantee applies only when fewer than three Pro files have been downloaded, so it is a limited safeguard for new subscribers rather than an unrestricted refund.

The web-based editor keeps asset work within Vecteezy’s online service; API access offers another route into creative workflows. Vecteezy states that it is SOC 2 compliant. Teams can add seats, invite members, assign roles and reserve billing access for admins. Teams also receive priority support and dedicated account management. Enterprise adds SSO/SAML, API and DAM integration, and up to $1 million in legal protection per incident.

Pricing

Vecteezy uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a seven-day trial. Free resources require attribution, and the basic experience includes ads and limitations; five monthly downloads make it a poor fit for anyone sourcing assets at production pace.

Paid options include Image Only, with five image downloads and one bundle; Video Only, with five video downloads and one bundle; Unlimited All Access, with unlimited downloads and one bundle; and packs of one, five or ten download credits. Pro subscriptions provide unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads, commercial rights, no attribution, priority support and $10,000 legal protection. These plans use custom pricing, so buyers should weigh the download scope and rights they need against the cost offered to them.

Teams and Enterprise have no free trial, though demos are available. Their team controls and support make them more suitable for organizations than individual buyers. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, which stops automatic renewal. Pro’s refund guarantee lasts 30 days but only applies if fewer than three Pro files have been downloaded.

Platforms

Vecteezy runs on the web, with an online editor, and offers API access. That suits browser-based asset sourcing and workflows that can use an API; it is not a desktop or mobile application offering.

Who it's for

Vecteezy is a strong fit for designers, publishers and content teams that need a broad stock library, especially when attribution-free commercial use matters. Teams that need role controls, managed billing and account support have a clearer case for the team plans. Casual users can try the free tier, but its attribution requirement and five-download monthly cap quickly constrain repeated use.

Pros and cons

Pro spans multiple asset types: access to more than 60 million images, videos and other assets, with unlimited photo, vector and 4K video downloads, suits varied and recurring production needs.
Clearer commercial-use terms: Pro includes full commercial rights and requires no attribution, while free resources require attribution.
Team controls grow with the plan: seats, roles and admin-only billing access support shared workflows; Enterprise adds SSO/SAML and API and DAM integration.
The free tier is restrictive: five monthly downloads, ads and attribution make it a limited option for ongoing commercial work.
Paid-plan budgeting takes an extra step: plan prices are custom pricing, so buyers cannot compare the listed plan options by price alone.
The refund condition is narrow: the 30-day guarantee ends as an option once three Pro files have been downloaded.

Alternatives

For a wider set of platforms and a free illustration option, consider Ouch! by Icons8: its Free plan includes illustrations but requires attribution, and it supports Android, iOS, desktop, browser, extension and API access.

Openclipart is a free alternative for buyers who want a free account and are comfortable with a donation-supported model; no specific usage limits are stated for its free account.

VectorStock may suit buyers who prefer single-vector purchases with a Pro license and no ongoing commitment; its pay-per-image plan is $14.99 USD per month, billed once for each vector.

For API-focused illustration sourcing, GetIllustrations offers a free account with 1,500 API calls per month, free assets and premium assets as watermarked previews.

Worldvectorlogo is the more focused option for logo-related API access, with a free plan of 1,000 calls per month and a $29.00 USD per month Base plan for 100,000 calls.

Blush fits users seeking free illustrations with unlimited downloads; its Pro plan adds one-click color customization and vectorized illustrations.

DrawKit is a fit for buyers who want unlimited free content without an account, or a $79.00 USD per year Pro plan.

illlustrations offers a free set of 120+ SVG and PNG illustrations with personal and commercial use, full commercial rights and unlimited SVG downloads.

For broader browsing, compare Stock Vector Libraries, Stock Photo Websites, Vector Graphics Software and Graphic Design Software.

Verdict

Choose Vecteezy if you need a broad, regularly updated stock library and want Pro’s unlimited downloads, commercial rights and attribution-free use; teams also gain meaningful access controls and support. Look elsewhere if you need predictable published pricing or expect the free tier to support steady production: five monthly downloads and attribution are significant constraints.
