Overview

VEED suits creators who want to generate and finish social video in one workflow, and teams that need shared review. Its strongest case is the breadth of browser-based tools; the free export watermark and 720p ceiling rule it out for clean, high-resolution delivery.

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in London, VEED combines idea-to-video generation with editing, subtitles, translation, branding and export. It also has Android and iOS apps, but no desktop app.

Key features

Generation and editing

VEED can turn an idea into a post-ready video with captions, music and pacing oriented to a platform. That gives creators a route from concept to a shaped draft, while tools for cutting, joining, compression, background removal, text and audio editing, and conversion cover common finishing work in the same product. The range is useful for routine online video; people who specifically require a desktop app should look elsewhere.

Subtitles, branding and collaboration

Subtitles and translation into more than 100 languages help creators adapt videos for different audiences without moving between services. Logos, colors and fonts support a consistent look across recurring content. For teams, shared workspaces, review mode, and comments and feedback make review part of the workflow rather than a separate handoff.

APIs and security

VEED's developer APIs cover image-to-video generation, lip sync, subtitles and background removal, for teams integrating those capabilities into existing products. VEED says data is encrypted in transit and at rest and stored on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. It says it complies with GDPR and the CPPA; European Standard Contractual Clauses are included in data processing agreements for Enterprise customers, and VEED responds to security requirement enquiries from Enterprise buyers.

Pricing

VEED is freemium. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and permits exports only in 720p, with a watermark on exported videos. That is useful for trying the workflow or sharing drafts, but the resolution cap and branding make it a poor fit for polished client or public deliverables.

Paid pricing starts at $9/mo (annual). Creator removes the watermark and raises the export ceiling to 1080p, making it the relevant step up for creators who need clean HD output. Pro exports up to 4K, while Studio also reaches 4K and is suited to small teams. Enterprise exports up to 4K and targets organizations needing the full toolset and collaboration features. Creator, Pro, Studio and Enterprise have custom pricing; the plan details given do not specify seat counts or quotas, so buyers should confirm those against their production needs.

Platforms

VEED runs in a web browser and has Android and iOS apps; exporting works on the web and in both mobile apps. An extension is also listed among its platforms. There is no desktop app, so it fits browser-first work better than a workflow built around installed desktop editing software.

Who it's for

VEED is a sensible fit for creators and marketing teams making platform-oriented video who value built-in subtitles, translation and branding alongside general editing. Its higher tiers are more relevant when small-team review or organization-wide collaboration matters. It is less suitable for anyone who needs watermark-free output on a free plan, or whose workflow depends on a dedicated desktop application.

Pros and cons

Broad production workflow: generation, editing, subtitles, translation and branding sit in one platform, reducing the need to split routine video work across tools.
Useful language reach: subtitle translation into more than 100 languages can support adapting content for multiple audiences.
Collaboration at higher tiers: shared workspaces, review mode and comments and feedback give teams concrete ways to coordinate review.
Free exports are constrained: the 720p limit and watermark make the no-cost tier better for drafts than final delivery.
Desktop users are left out: VEED offers web and mobile apps, but no desktop app.

Alternatives

For a narrower lip-sync workflow, CHAMELAION LipSync API has a free Starter plan with 24,000 tokens and two minutes of video translation plus lip sync, with a watermark and no card requirement; it is an API and web offering rather than VEED's broader editing suite. LipDub is another freemium API and web option: its free Seed tier gives one minute at 1080p with a watermark and includes AI dubbing, voice cloning and lip sync, making it a more focused choice for those tasks.

Sync Labs may suit someone who wants to try lip sync generation within a defined free allowance: three generations a month up to 20 seconds each, plus up to one Sync 3 generation a month with a 15-second limit. For text- or image-to-video experimentation, Morph Studio offers 75 monthly credits on its free web plan, including two models and 90-day asset retention.

lipsyn.cc offers a five-second free preview without sign-up or a card, while its Quick Take is a one-time purchase of five minutes for €6.99; that is a compact option for a short lip-sync job rather than a full editing workflow. WeryAI Video Lip Sync is a mobile and web alternative with a Standard plan at 22.49 USD per year, focused on credit-based image, video and music generation.

For broader category comparisons, browse AI Video Editing Software or Video Editing Software. The AI Video Lip Sync Tools, Video Ad Maker Software, Video Collage Maker Software and AI Podcast Editing Software lists cover adjacent needs.

Verdict

Choose VEED if you want a browser-first place to generate, edit, subtitle, translate and brand online video, with mobile exporting and team review available as needs grow. The free tier's watermark and 720p cap are the clearest reason to look elsewhere; for final work, expect to move to a paid plan, and confirm the plan price and limits that fit your output needs.
