Overview

OrderNow Inventory links recipes and eligible sales with purchasing, receiving, waste records and stock reporting for food operators. It is the stronger fit for businesses already recording sales through OrderNow, particularly groups that need stock balances and transfers across sites. The main caveat is cost: inventory is included in Ultra at 95.00 USD per month, while the free plan disables ordering.

Key features

Recipes, purchasing and reporting

Eligible sales recorded through OrderNow can trigger recipe-based ingredient-use calculations, making stock consumption more closely connected to menu activity. That is useful for operators who want recipe costing alongside inventory, but the calculation depends on eligible sales being recorded through OrderNow.

Purchase orders, goods received notes, supplier details and purchase history cover the path from ordering stock to recording its arrival. Reports can include low stock, stock valuation, variance, cost of goods sold, supplier activity and stock movement. Together, those tools offer more than a count of current stock; they give managers several views of procurement and changing balances.

Locations, waste and connections

Location-level balances and transfers support businesses moving stock among outlets, kitchens, stores and central warehouses. Teams can also record waste, damage and stock corrections, and configure HACCP or food-safety checks. This breadth should suit operators who want purchasing, stock control and food-safety records in one workflow, though availability depends on plan, market and implementation, and uninterrupted or error-free service is not guaranteed.

Third-party delivery workflows, accounting and health-app sync, Google Reserve, and API and webhook connections are described as coming soon. They should not be treated as current integrations. OrderNow says it uses safeguards including encrypted network connections where supported, access controls, monitoring, backups and security updates; it says it does not sell personal information, though limited sharing with service providers or for legal and business-change purposes may occur.

Pricing

Free is free forever with no credit card needed. It provides a view-only QR menu, up to 12 menu items and unlimited scans, but ordering is disabled and the plan is ad-supported. It is therefore a way to present a small menu, not a no-cost route to inventory management.

Pro costs 44.00 USD per month, billed monthly. It includes unlimited menu items, ordering and KOT, one location, and standard chat and email support. That makes it the lower-cost paid choice for a single-site operator needing ordering, but it does not include the inventory and recipe-costing features assigned to Ultra.

Ultra costs 95.00 USD per month, billed monthly. It adds inventory and recipe costing for up to two locations, plus priority 24/7 WhatsApp support. It is the relevant plan for operators seeking the core inventory workflow, though a group with more than two locations will need to consider Enterprise.

Enterprise has custom pricing with volume pricing and a tailored SLA. It includes unlimited locations, custom integrations, direct API and webhooks, and a 99.9% uptime SLA. It suits larger groups that need scale or bespoke connections, but its price requires a direct commercial discussion.

Platforms

OrderNow lists Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, Windows and an API. There is no mobile app, so the Android and iOS platform listings should not be read as a promise of a dedicated mobile application.

Who it's for

Restaurants, cafés, hotels, cloud kitchens, restaurant groups and catering operations are the intended users. The best fit is a food business already using OrderNow for eligible sales, or a multi-site operator that can use Ultra’s two-location allowance or Enterprise’s unlimited locations. A single-site buyer who only needs ordering may find Pro sufficient; operators who need inventory without OrderNow-linked sales should weigh whether the recipe deduction workflow fits their operation.

Pros and cons

Pro: Purchasing, receiving, supplier history, stock reports, waste records and recipe-linked usage sit within one inventory workflow, reducing the need to treat these tasks as unrelated records.
Pro: Location balances and transfers address stock movement between multiple kinds of sites, while Enterprise extends the allowance to unlimited locations.
Con: Inventory and recipe costing start at 95.00 USD per month on Ultra; the free plan is limited to a view-only menu and cannot take orders.
Con: Recipe-based deductions depend on eligible sales recorded through OrderNow, and there is no mobile app despite Android and iOS platform listings.
Con: Several connections are coming soon rather than currently available, limiting what buyers should expect from integrations now.

Alternatives

Restaurant Inventory Management Software is the broader category list for comparing inventory tools. Growyze is worth considering for operators who want a free plan and trial, with its free tier covering limited stocktakes, supplier orders, recipes and waste records. Galley is a freemium alternative with an SMB Accelerator plan starting at 99.00 USD per month for recipes, menus and costing, simplified onboarding and no long contracts.

Craftable is another paid option. MarketMan may suit buyers prepared for a higher starting price: its Starter plan is 249.00 USD per month for independent operators and includes one Vendor EDI integration and 50 AI-powered invoice scans per month. MarginEdge is a paid choice at 350.00 USD per location per month, with unlimited invoice processing, unlimited bills paid in the U.S., email support and 1:1 software training.

WISK is a paid alternative for iOS and web; its Single Venue — Beverage plan is 249.00 USD per month, with 1,000 SKUs, 75 AI invoices per month, five users, email support and a $750 setup fee. Crunchtime Labor & Scheduling is a separate paid labor and scheduling option, with pricing discussed through a demo for operators with 10 or more locations. Fourth Inventory is another paid inventory option, with pricing available by demo request.

Verdict

Choose OrderNow Inventory if your food business already records eligible sales through OrderNow and wants recipe costing, procurement, waste and stock movement connected in one workflow. Its location transfers and reporting give multi-site operators a practical case for Ultra or Enterprise. Look elsewhere if you need a free inventory tier, a dedicated mobile app, or integrations that are still forthcoming; for a single-site operation, the jump from Pro to Ultra is the key buying decision.
