Overview

Stoq is a modular retail-management platform for Brazilian commerce, spanning physical stores and online sales. It suits retailers that want those channels and cloud operations under one umbrella. Its breadth is compelling, but the selected components, monthly fee and possible sales commission make the contract a central part of the buying decision.

Key features

Stoq combines counter sales, self-service, SmartPOS, an online store, marketplaces and click-and-collect. Its components include Stoq PDV, Stoq Self-checkout, Stoq.shop, Stoq.link and Stoq SmartPOS. SmartPOS supports card and digital-wallet payments and NFC-e fiscal receipts; barcode scanning, purchase orders and sales orders address core retail workflows. This range can reduce the need to assemble separate tools for each sales route, but only the components selected at contracting define what a retailer gets.

Cloud back-office storage and a consolidated view of store networks support multi-location oversight, while remote monitoring is described as operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Integrations include BeBlue and Passbook for cashback, iFood and Uber Eats for delivery, Magalu, Shopify and Vnda for e-commerce, Protheus, SAP and Conta Azul for ERP, and Power BI for business intelligence. Stoq Cloud API provides a programmatic integration route. Retailers already using these systems have a clearer reason to consider Stoq; businesses with different software dependencies should establish whether the chosen configuration fits before contracting.

Stoq says it encrypts personal data held in data centers in Brazil and abroad, and does not sell personal data. Its privacy policy allows sharing with Magalu Group companies, service providers, partners and authorities in specified circumstances. The terms also say Stoq does not save, archive or make consumers’ personal data available. Support runs through the website and the manager’s Help button, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00, excluding holidays. The service is provided as is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted, error-free or inviolable operation.

Pricing

Platforma Stoq (components selected at contracting): custom pricing. The monthly fee depends on the applications or components selected and is provided when the business contracts the platform; it may change with notice. The monthly fee is non-cancelable and non-refundable, and a sales commission may also apply to platform-attributed sales. This model leaves room to choose a tailored configuration, but retailers should confirm both the recurring fee and commission terms before committing. There are no published lower-tier plans to compare, so buyers cannot assess component trade-offs against fixed-price options from the outset.

Platforms

Stoq’s platform list includes Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web and Windows, as well as an API. Its terms describe browser-based online use and mobile devices running Android, iOS, Mac or Windows; Stoq Cloud API supports programmatic integration. That combination can suit retailers needing browser and mobile access alongside integrations, while the terms do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Who it's for

Stoq is aimed at Brazilian retailers coordinating store operations with digital sales channels, particularly those who can use its named delivery, commerce, ERP and cashback integrations. The consolidated store view and around-the-clock monitoring are relevant to multi-location operators. A smaller retailer seeking a fixed monthly price, or a business that needs firm availability assurances, should weigh the contract terms carefully.

Pros and cons

Pros: A broad set of sales channels and retail components can bring in-store, self-service and online operations together.
Pros: Named integrations cover delivery, e-commerce, ERP, cashback and business intelligence, with an API for programmatic connections.
Cons: The fee depends on the components selected, may change with notice, and a sales commission may apply, making total cost harder to assess before contracting.
Cons: The monthly fee is non-cancelable and non-refundable, and the terms offer no guarantee of uninterrupted, error-free or inviolable service.

Alternatives

Nimbus RMS is worth considering when a retailer wants a free starting point: its 14-day trial includes up to 3 stores, 50 products, one user and one register per store, with no receipt limit and no credit card required. Erply may suit buyers who prefer a published monthly price and unlimited users: its Growth Plan is 1000.00 USD per month for 3 stores, with 100,000 queries and 2,000 AI actions per month.

GoFrugal Retail, NCR Voyix Retail, Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service, OptaPOS, SAP Retail and SwilERP are other paid retail options to compare.

Verdict

Stoq is a strong candidate for Brazilian retailers that want store, self-service and online channels connected to cloud operations and familiar integrations. Its main advantage is that operational breadth; its main drawback is that pricing and possible commission hinge on a non-refundable, non-cancelable contract. Choose it when the components and commercial terms fit the business, and look elsewhere when transparent upfront pricing or stronger availability commitments matter more.
