Overview

PIXID VMS is a workforce management system that coordinates companies, staffing agencies, and managed service providers. Core is the closer fit for shared temporary-staffing transactions; Pro extends to staff augmentation and services procurement. Its breadth is a strength for multi-agency programs, but custom pricing means it is best suited to buyers prepared to discuss their requirements before comparing costs.

Pixid was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Courbevoie, France. The maker now calls VectorVMS Pixid VMS Pro, and offers Core alongside it.

Key features

Two levels of workflow coverage

Core brings companies and staffing agencies together to manage orders, timesheets, and invoices. Process automation, compliance tracking, structured talent pools, AI-assisted matching, and shared live program metrics extend that transaction workflow. It is a focused option for organizations coordinating temporary workers with agency partners; teams needing broader supplier and services-procurement coverage should consider Pro.

Pro brings requisitions, contracts, timesheets, and supplier invoices into one system of record, covering staff augmentation, services procurement, and extended workforce management. AI-assisted candidate matching, interactive dashboards, real-time reporting, and customizable analytics are relevant to organizations overseeing programs across locations and agencies. Teams that only need to coordinate orders and time records may find this wider scope unnecessary.

Integrations, controls, and support

Pro connects with HR platforms, procurement tools, and payroll systems, and can synchronize records automatically. The open API can also connect with existing ATS or back-office systems, making it more suitable for buyers who need VMS workflows to fit an established stack.

Security credentials include ISO 27001 and 27701 and SOC 1 and SOC 2; Pixid also states encryption in transit and at rest. Core says customer data is hosted in the US on dedicated, certified infrastructure. The Trust Center lists GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and SOC 2 Type 2 materials, with access by request. Pro lists WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility compliance. A dedicated project team, account-aware human support, and ongoing reconfiguration are intended to support programs as they grow. Core gives an average deployment time of three weeks, while the broader company description says programs can be running in a few weeks.

Pricing

Both Pixid VMS Core and Pro use custom pricing, with prospective customers directed to request a demo. There is no published plan amount to compare, so buyers should expect to establish cost through a sales conversation rather than choose on a stated subscription rate.

Core is the narrower choice for orders, timesheets, and invoices shared by companies and staffing agencies. Pro is aimed at organizations that also need supplier contracts, staff augmentation, services procurement, and broader reporting. The distinction is meaningful for scope, but there are no stated seat counts, usage quotas, trial terms, or renewal conditions to weigh against either plan.

Platforms

PIXID VMS is available on web, Android, and iOS, and supports API access. That combination suits teams working across desktop and mobile environments or connecting the system to other workforce tools.

Who it's for

Core is aimed at companies managing temporary workers and the staffing agencies placing them. Pro extends the fit to companies and MSPs coordinating contingent-workforce programs across locations and agencies, including staff augmentation and services procurement. Buyers seeking a dedicated shared workflow for staffing transactions have a clearer case for Core; organizations consolidating a wider supplier program have more reason to consider Pro.

Pros and cons

Broad workflow coverage: Core handles orders, timesheets, and invoices, while Pro adds requisitions, contracts, staff augmentation, and services procurement.
Useful integration options: HR, procurement, payroll, ATS, and back-office connections can reduce separation between VMS records and adjacent systems.
Published security and accessibility commitments: The stated certifications, encryption, and accessibility standards matter to organizations with governance requirements.
Custom pricing requires an early sales discussion: Buyers cannot compare plan costs from a published rate before requesting a demo.
Core and Pro serve distinct scopes: Organizations needing only basic agency coordination may not benefit from Pro's wider program coverage.

Alternatives

Compare contingent workforce management software if you want to weigh PIXID against a broader set of tools.

WorkMarket is another paid option for organizations engaging 10 or more independent contractors a month; it currently supports businesses with a US entity and uses custom pricing.

Avature is another paid alternative with Android, iOS, web, and API platforms.

Bridge VMS may suit buyers who prefer a stated spend-based starting rate: its listed pricing is 0.65 USD per month, billed from 0.65% of spend per month plus a $1350 per month software license fee, with flexible terms and dedicated support.

Flextrack is a paid alternative with API and web platforms.

Pactos offers a paid alternative with API and web platforms; its Vendor Intelligence plan is priced by quote based on transaction volume and selected modules, with a monthly minimum and no annual quota.

FlentisPRO is another paid API and web option, with a supplier-funded model that adds no financial burden for the organization and uses custom pricing.

Ringo offers a web-based VMS with supplier-funded pricing and no capital outlay for healthcare organizations.

Outerscore is a web-based alternative that typically prices custom VMS arrangements at 0.2% to 0.8% of managed spend or as a flat annual SaaS subscription.

Verdict

PIXID VMS is best for organizations that need staffing agencies, companies, and MSPs to coordinate contingent labor through connected workflows, with Pro extending that coverage into staff augmentation and services procurement. Its integration options, security commitments, and support model strengthen the case for a structured multi-party program. Look elsewhere if upfront cost comparison is essential: both plans require a demo request to establish pricing.
