Overview

Employees can search shared contacts by name, organization or job title and view contact details with related information. That is more useful than isolated personal lists when staff need to identify the right person across a company. User roles and permissions let an organization manage access to shared contacts.

Business-card scanning and email-signature capture offer ways to add contacts without depending entirely on manual entry. Imports from mobile address books, Gmail and Outlook help bring existing records into the directory. Registration, however, is invitation-only and requires a work email to connect coworkers automatically, limiting its suitability for solo users and teams that cannot join through an existing user.

Key features

Capture, sync and lookup

The service says contacts sync across desktop, mobile, web and Outlook. That broad reach helps employees move between devices without maintaining separate directories. Pobuca Bot can search and update stored details through chat, from the desktop app or Outlook add-in and through Messenger or Skype. This is a practical shortcut for teams that use those channels, though its value depends on those tools being part of their routine.

Integrations and safeguards

Integration guides cover Zapier, CardDav, Active Directory, Google Account and Gmail, Outlook, O365 and Exchange; the product also names Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Active Azure Directory and Vodafone OneNet. This range may help fit the directory into existing contact and identity workflows.

Pobuca Connect is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Its security notice describes SSL/TLS for data in transit, salted and hashed passwords, adoption of multi-factor authentication and account-based data segregation. Customers retain ownership of their contact data, which Pobuca says it does not sell, rent or lease. Backups for inactive accounts are retained for 35 days, with an option to bypass that period and delete data immediately.

Pricing

Pobuca Connect uses a freemium model, with a free plan and paid access from $2.50/user/mo (annual). The paid starting rate is relevant for teams willing to commit annually, but the per-user basis means the total rises with the number of seats. A 15-day trial gives prospective customers a short period to assess the paid offering.

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and provides free access, making it the natural starting point for an invited team evaluating a shared address book. The free offer does not remove the invitation and work-email requirement. The product also advertises company contacts, email sync, mobile apps, imports from mobile address books, Gmail and Outlook, and reminders; those capabilities are useful context for choosing it, but the available plan details do not assign them to specific tiers. Enterprise has custom pricing and is positioned for large organizations seeking customizable features and customer support.

Platforms

Pobuca Connect supports Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows, with an extension also listed. Its stated sync across desktop, mobile, web and Outlook makes it a plausible fit for teams moving among those environments. A Help Center provides getting-started, how-to, integration, FAQ and security collections.

Who it's for

This is best suited to companies that want a shared address book, can satisfy the invitation-only signup rule and benefit from contact capture, search and access controls. Larger organizations looking for customization and customer support are the stated audience for Enterprise. It is a poor match for someone seeking an immediately self-serve personal contact manager or for a team unable to obtain an invitation.

Pros and cons

Pros

Several routes to keep contacts current: business-card scanning and email-signature capture reduce reliance on manual entry.
Team-oriented access: roles and permissions support controlled sharing of company contacts.
Broad ecosystem coverage: sync, imports and integration guides connect the directory with common communication and identity services.
Data ownership and deletion choice: customers retain ownership, and inactive-account backups can be skipped for immediate deletion.

Cons

Enrollment is gated: registration requires both an invitation and a work email, excluding many individuals and unaffiliated teams.
Paid entry is annual: the starting price is $2.50/user/mo on an annual basis, which may be less attractive to teams seeking a short commitment.
Inactive backups persist by default: data backups remain for 35 days unless the immediate-deletion option is used.

Verdict

Choose Pobuca Connect if your organization can get invited and needs a shared, searchable company address book with multiple capture routes, permissions and sync across devices. The main reason to choose it is that combination of team directory and contact upkeep; the main reason to look elsewhere is the gated signup, especially for individuals or teams seeking immediate self-service access.
