Overview

Sauce combines automated mastering with mix feedback and controls for shaping the result. Its processing uses EQ, compression, limiting, and loudness control, while analysis covers tonal balance, dynamics, loudness, and stereo image. The mix suggestions may help guide revisions, but they leave the creative decision to the producer.

Producersources makes the service, which runs in a browser. Tracks can be up to 15 minutes and uploaded as WAV, MP3, AIFF, FLAC, or M4A; release exports are WAV, FLAC, and MP3.

Key features

Analysis and stem work

Sauce checks loudness, tone, dynamics, low-end, stereo image, and clipping, then offers plain-English suggestions. That can give artists a practical starting point when a mix needs attention, though the advice still needs to be weighed against the sound they want. Its stem element engine adjusts vocals, drums, bass, and instruments, and users can upload their own stems for free. This is useful when a full-mix change would affect the wrong element, but targeted work depends on having stems.

Master shaping and references

Controls for brightness, warmth, punch, dynamics, width, loudness, and true peak, plus genre tuning and saved presets, offer more direction than a one-step master. Users can upload a reference or select a built-in preset to guide loudness, tonal balance, stereo width, and energy. This flexibility favors producers who want to steer the sound; those who simply want a finished master with minimal decisions may not need the extra controls.

Additional tools

The homepage also lists Vocal Polish and Audio Repair, alongside free browser tools for loudness and true-peak checks, BPM detection, and musical-key detection. Stem Separation and Vocal Remover are marked as coming soon, so they are not current options. Song to MIDI is also linked as a tool.

Pricing

The free preview applies to every track, and the first master is free. The maker does not state a trial duration, so users should not assume a time-limited trial. This is a low-commitment way to assess the workflow, but free-tier files may be deleted after 14 days.

One-time credits have custom pricing and never expire. A master or mix improvement costs one credit; stems, Vocal Polish, Audio Repair, or Song to MIDI cost two, and reference matching adds one. This suits occasional users who prefer credits without an expiry date, though reference matching increases the cost of a job that uses it.

The subscription has custom pricing and a yearly billing option with two months free. It is aimed at producers and artists releasing consistently. Paid plans allow unlimited mastering, whole-mix improvement, and reference matching, subject to fair-use limits: automated, bulk, or reseller use far beyond typical individual activity may be rate-limited or require a higher plan. Paid-tier files are retained while the subscription is active. The stated terms do not establish how the subscription compares in cost with credits.

Platforms

Sauce runs on the web. No desktop or mobile app platform is identified.

Who it's for

The service is aimed at producers, artists, and beatmakers working across styles including trap, drill, amapiano, afrobeats, phonk, R&B, and pop. It can suit someone preparing a single or leased beat as well as a larger project, particularly when stem adjustments or reference matching matter. Someone who needs fixed subscription pricing before committing should compare alternatives.

Pros and cons

Pros: Mix analysis pairs plain-English suggestions with controls for shaping the master, giving users both feedback and room to make their own choices.
Pros: Free previews on every track and a free first master let users evaluate the service before paying.
Pros: Credits do not expire, which suits intermittent projects better than a recurring plan.
Cons: Paid prices are custom, making it difficult to compare the cost of credits and yearly subscription in advance.
Cons: Free-tier files may be deleted after 14 days, so users should keep their own copies.
Cons: Stem-level adjustments require stems, and two credits are required for stem work.

Alternatives

AI mastering tools is a broader starting point for comparing services. AI Mastering is a better fit for readers who want a free plan with unlimited mastering or need its wider platform support, including mobile, desktop, API, extension, and self-hosted options.

RoEx Mastering suits readers who prefer a free preview before download and a pay-per-download credit at 7.99 USD per once. WhitePrint AudioEngine is worth comparing for a defined monthly allowance: its free tier includes 3 WAV masters per month, while Standard costs 54.00 USD per month for 30 WAV masters.

Auralith Forge may suit occasional users who want three one-time full-length masters and unlimited 30-second previews free, or a single extra master for 2.99 EUR per once. Matchering is the alternative for readers seeking free, open-source mastering under a GPLv3 license, with web, desktop, and self-hosted platforms.

TrackGleam is a fit for readers who value unlimited free mastering with WAV and MP3 output and no watermark or sign-up, across web and mobile. Engineer Guy AI Master Track suits someone who wants one free mix session with Mix Coach and basic feedback, with a 7.00 USD per month Pro plan for unlimited sessions, batch upload, auto-mastering, and all genres. MasteringBOX offers a free plan with one master per day and mobile apps as well as web access.

Verdict

Sauce Mastering AI is a strong fit for producers and beatmakers who want more than an automatic master: its analysis, stem adjustments, reference matching, and mix controls support a more directed process, with a free first master to try. Look elsewhere if known paid pricing is essential, or if a free plan with stated recurring quotas better matches your workflow.
