Overview

SearchPie is a Shopify SEO app that combines store-page editing, technical SEO and speed optimization. It is best suited to Shopify merchants who want routine catalog work and site performance tools in one product; the free Starter plan is a sensible starting point, while the paid tiers make most sense when their specific SEO quotas match your needs.

Merchants can edit images, meta tags and URLs individually or in bulk, and use SearchPie to create snippets and sitemaps. It also connects to Google Search Console, Google Merchant Center and Google Analytics 4. SearchPie says Google data supports dashboard displays and recommendations, and is not analyzed with third-party AI models.

Theme compatibility covers Shopify Online Store 2.0 through Shopify's app extension framework. Security measures in the privacy policy include TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest. Uninstall behavior deserves attention: related Google data is permanently deleted when the account is unlinked or the app is removed, but ALT tags and compressed images remain in the database. Other app code, including meta tags, schema and instant-page code, is cleared.

Key features

Bulk and individual editing of image, meta-tag and URL SEO factors lets merchants handle catalog-wide cleanup without giving up item-level control. The free Starter plan includes a full SEO report, bulk meta and ALT optimization, sitemap submission, speed analysis, instant-page functionality and broken-link detection. That is a useful baseline for smaller stores, though more advanced keyword and tracking tools require higher tiers.

SearchPie offers image compression, CSS and JavaScript minification, lazy loading and instant page loading. The Starter plan includes image compression and instant-page functionality; Premium adds automatic ALT tags, broken-link autopilot and image compression. The practical distinction is between basic optimization and ongoing automation.

Keyword insights are intended to help merchants create content around customers' search activity, but Keyword Research appears only in Enterprise and Plus. That makes SearchPie less compelling for a merchant whose main need is affordable keyword discovery. Product schema tools and product feed optimization are also part of its Shopify focus.

Support includes 24/7 in-app live chat and email. That is a useful backstop for store operators, and live chat is explicitly included even in Starter.

Pricing

SearchPie is freemium, with a permanent free tier and a 7-day trial. The entry point for recurring paid plans is $39/mo, but the plan menu also includes one-time purchases with distinct billing terms.

Starter: 0.00 USD per year (billed $0 /yr). It includes a full SEO report, speed analysis, bulk meta and ALT tags, sitemap submission, instant page and 24/7 live chat. This is the right choice for merchants who need core optimization without a monthly fee; it does not include the higher-tier keyword research and position tracking.
VIP AI Generator: 35.00 USD per once (billed $35 /10,000 requests). It provides bulk AI-generated content, four writing tones and more than 30 supported languages. Its one-time, request-based purchase suits a merchant seeking a defined content allowance rather than a recurring plan.
VIP SEO Scan: 39.00 USD per once (billed $39 /per scan request). It scans all website pages for broken and long URLs, meta, ALT and HTML tags, snippets, site speed and favicon issues. Choose it for an occasional broad scan rather than ongoing optimization.
Premium: 39.00 USD per month (billed $39 /mo). It includes 250 AI Generator requests, automatic ALT tags, broken-link autopilot, image compression and Google Search Console. This is the recurring tier for merchants who want automation and a modest content-generation quota.
Enterprise: 99.00 USD per month (billed $99 /mo). It raises the AI Generator allowance to 5000 requests and adds keyword research, position tracking, backlink building, AMP and customized expert service. The higher price is justified mainly for stores that will use those broader SEO capabilities.
Plus: 399.00 USD per month (billed $399 /mo). It includes everything in Enterprise, 10,000 AI generate requests, a VIP SEO Scan, 1:1 SEO consultation and personalized optimization. This is for businesses that specifically need intensive expert involvement; it is difficult to justify for stores seeking only routine metadata or speed work.

Platforms

SearchPie runs on the web and is focused on Shopify stores, including Online Store 2.0 themes. It is not positioned as a general SEO tool for other commerce platforms.

Who it's for

SearchPie fits Shopify businesses that need to optimize product and page metadata at scale, combine technical SEO with speed tools, or connect store work to Google's search and analytics products. Starter is appropriate for merchants beginning with core SEO tasks. Stores seeking keyword research, position tracking or expert support should consider Enterprise or Plus; merchants who need only a one-off scan or AI content allowance can buy the corresponding standalone plan.

It is a weaker fit for businesses outside Shopify, or for merchants whose primary requirement is keyword research on a lower recurring budget, since that capability starts at Enterprise.

Pros and cons

Pros: Starter is free forever and covers several core tasks, including bulk metadata and ALT optimization, sitemap submission, speed analysis and broken-link detection.
Pros: Google Search Console, Merchant Center and Analytics 4 integrations bring several relevant Google connections into one Shopify app.
Pros: Shopify Online Store 2.0 compatibility and app extensions support current Shopify theme architecture.
Cons: Keyword research and position tracking are limited to Enterprise and Plus, making the recurring cost steep for merchants who mainly want those insights.
Cons: Uninstall leaves ALT tags and compressed images in the database while clearing other app code, so cleanup is not uniform across optimized elements.
Cons: The plan structure mixes monthly subscriptions with one-time scan and request purchases, so buyers should match the billing basis and allowance to the job rather than compare only headline prices.

Alternatives

Katapic is worth considering if its free starter option with one-time trial credits and no renewal suits a limited initial catalog diagnosis.

RankCart may suit stores that want a free monthly audit allowance, SEO and AI-readiness scores, and weekly email summaries, with web and API platforms.

StoreSEO offers a freemium option with explicit product, image, AI-credit and keyword caps, which can be a better fit when those starter allowances align with a store's size.

Avada SEO Suite is an alternative for merchants prioritizing image compression, speed improvements, on-page audits and ALT optimization on a free tier.

Booster SEO & Image Optimizer may suit merchants who want basic SEO features, ALT-text optimization and weekly image sync with 24/7 SEO chat support.

Smart SEO is another freemium Shopify SEO option.

TinySEO is another freemium option, with web and extension platforms.

SEOPress is an option to consider if an API-based SEO product better fits your setup.

Verdict

Choose SearchPie if you run a Shopify store and want core SEO editing, speed tools and Google connections in one app, with a free tier that covers meaningful day-to-day work. Look elsewhere if keyword research is your main need but Enterprise's $99.00 USD per month is beyond budget, or if you need consistent removal of every optimization when uninstalling.
