Overview

Guided prompts, built-in logic and real-time feedback support electronic I-9 completion designed to follow the M-274 Employer Handbook. The service extends beyond initial forms to E-Verify case handling and historical records, making it a more comprehensive option than a tool focused only on onboarding. That breadth is most valuable to employers consolidating recurring I-9 work; a small team with occasional hires may not need the added scope.

Verifi-9 is mobile-enabled, with remote Section 2 workflows that can use an authorized representative and mobile-camera document uploads. Digital signatures work by mouse, stylus, finger or click-to-sign on a computer, tablet or smartphone. These options accommodate remote hires without requiring every step to happen at a desktop.

Key features

Form management and audit support

Standard features include e-signatures, smart field validation, alerts and reporting, mobile access, Section 3 reverification, retention compliance, audit support, and support for citizenship statuses and visa types. Remedi-9 adds a tamper-evident audit trail recording logins, devices or browsers, fields, signatures, uploads, changes, timestamps and IP details. Together, these tools suit teams that need a record of form activity as well as a way to catch errors and manage follow-up. They do not remove the need to review the service’s contract and retention arrangements.

E-Verify and historical records

VerifyToday describes itself as an Authorized DHS E-Verify Agent. The service can submit cases, track results and guide users through TNCs; the E-Verify offering adds case management, workforce authorization integration, Further Action Notice workflows, notifications and automated resolution. This is a strong fit for employers seeking I-9 and E-Verify work in one service rather than managing separate processes.

Reunifi-9 can import and digitize paper and electronic I-9s, track Section 2 document expirations and send form-purge notifications. Historical remediation includes error identification, employer and employee remediation workflows, compliant update recording and data integration. This makes the archive offering relevant to organizations with legacy records to bring under active management, not just employers starting fresh.

Pricing

Verifi-9 is paid, with custom pricing on request; the vendor describes flexible pricing and bundling but gives no fixed plan price. The available feature set distinguishes Standard, Standard plus E-Verify, and historical digitization and storage with remediation. Standard covers core electronic I-9 work and ongoing compliance; adding E-Verify brings case and resolution workflows, while the historical option targets archive cleanup and remediation. Without published prices or quotas, buyers should compare a quote against the modules and record volumes they actually need.

The terms deserve equal attention. Verifi-9 Solutions begin with a three-year term from go-live and automatically renew for successive three-year terms unless terminated under the agreement. After termination, a Standard account incurs a $0.25 per I-9 per month storage fee if storage is not also terminated. Downloadable records remain available for up to 30 calendar days after a storage-termination request. These conditions make it important to plan record export and storage termination before ending service.

Platforms

Verifi-9 supports Android, iOS and web. Mobile access is practical for document capture and signatures during remote Section 2 completion, while browser access supports the broader form and record workflows.

Who it's for

VerifyToday positions the service for HR and Payroll teams at companies of all sizes. Its combination of guided forms, E-Verify, remote completion and historical remediation is best suited to employers with ongoing hiring, compliance follow-up or legacy I-9 records. Teams seeking only a basic digital form, or that prioritize shorter commitments, should compare alternatives before signing a three-year agreement.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad I-9 coverage: Guided completion, reverification, retention tools, E-Verify and archive remediation address more than new-hire paperwork.
Remote-ready workflow: Authorized-representative support, mobile document capture and multiple signature methods accommodate distributed hiring.
Detailed audit trail: The tamper-evident record captures activity across fields, signatures, uploads and changes.
Human support: The product page describes a U.S.-based support team.

Cons

Long commitment: The initial three-year term and successive three-year renewals limit flexibility.
Storage can continue to cost money: Standard accounts incur a per-I-9 monthly fee after termination if storage remains active.
Support has boundaries: Technical support is at VerifyToday’s discretion and excludes on-site training and maintenance.
Custom pricing: Without a published price, prospective buyers need a quote to judge costs against their volume and required modules.

Alternatives

Employment Eligibility Verification Software is a useful starting point for comparing tools in this category. Consider Everee Onboarding+ if a free standard I-9 and onboarding workflow is preferable; Imagility I-9 Compliance is another paid option on Android, iOS and web.

Patriot I-9 may suit buyers who value a no-charge seat license and no-charge E-Verify billed per I-9, with storage priced separately. EMP Trust Electronic Form I-9 is worth comparing for buyers who want published monthly tiers and a free trial, though its Standard plan has fair-usage limits. Experian I-9 Management, First Advantage Form I-9 and E-Verify Services, S2Verify I-9 and E-Verify and Symmetry I-9 are alternatives with custom or quote-based pricing.

Verdict

Verifi-9 is a strong fit for HR and Payroll teams that need remote I-9 completion, E-Verify workflows and active management of older records in one service. Its main advantage is that breadth; its main drawback is the three-year commitment, compounded by storage charges that can continue after termination. Choose it when the combined workflows justify a long contract, and look elsewhere if flexibility or a published price matters more.
