To create a duet song with AI, write two distinct vocal parts, generate or record each part separately, then arrange them so the voices alternate and sing together at chosen moments. Plan The Two Parts Before Generating
A duet needs two recognizable roles, not just a lead with doubled vocals. Decide who sings each line, where the voices overlap, and how their melodies differ. Write a simple part map alongside the lyrics:
- Verse one: Voice A alone, setting up the idea.
- Verse two: Voice B alone, answering or adding a different point of view.
- Chorus: Alternate short lines, then sing the final phrase together.
- Last chorus: Keep the main melody clear; add a harmony only where it supports the words.
Create The Song In Steps
- Write singable lyrics. Label every line “A,” “B,” or “Both.” Keep the shared lines short enough for two voices to sing together, and mark any word that should land at the same time.
- Give each voice a different melodic job. Use a lower, steadier phrase for one part and a contrasting response for the other. Specify the contour, rhythm, and overlap in your notes. These are creative directions, not guaranteed product controls.
