Create podcast intro music by generating an instrumental bed, choosing a short section that leaves room for your voice, and checking that its ending works before you place it at the start of an episode. Start with a prompt that describes the mood, instruments, pacing, and a clean finish; then compare a few generations and edit the strongest candidate in your audio editor. The tools below list instrumental generation, but their entries do not establish podcast-specific presets, exact duration controls, or genre guarantees.

Choose A Tool For The Workflow

Tool What The Listed Capabilities Support Plan Or Export Caveat
Soundverse AI Beat Maker Generates complete instrumentals with drums, basslines, melodies, and arrangements; exports WAV mixes, stems, and MIDI. Free Tier starts with 1,000 signup tokens. Commercial licenses are listed for Creator & Pro.
Eleven Music Generates instrumental tracks and supports section editing, genre transitions, stems, and MP3/WAV exports. Free is personal use; commercial rights vary by plan. The listed commercial-rights limitation excludes film, TV, and studio games.
Musicful Generates songs from text, lyrics, ideas, or uploaded audio, and supports vocal or instrumental stem separation and MP3/WAV downloads. Free/Basic is non-commercial; commercial use is limited to Standard/Pro.

For a straightforward instrumental starting point, Soundverse’s listed focus is the closest fit. If you want section editing or stems, Eleven Music lists those capabilities. Musicful lists instrumental generation and stems, though its broader song workflow may be more than an intro needs. Check each vendor’s site for current plan terms and any podcast-specific details that are not established here.

Write A Prompt That Fits A Podcast Intro

Podcast intro music needs to identify the show quickly while leaving the host easy to hear. Describe the character and arrangement you want, rather than relying on a named genre or a product-specific preset. For example:

  • Warm and conversational: “Short instrumental podcast intro, warm plucked notes, soft percussion, relaxed pace, uncluttered arrangement, leave space for spoken voice, finish with a clear resolved note.”
  • Curious and technology-focused: “Short instrumental podcast intro, bright pulsing synth tones, light rhythmic percussion, curious and forward-moving mood, keep the middle range uncluttered for narration, end cleanly.”
  • Calm and reflective: “Short instrumental podcast intro, gentle piano-like tones and a soft sustained background, measured pace, restrained dynamics, leave space for a host voice, finish softly and decisively.”

These are creative starting points, not verified genre presets or guaranteed outcomes. The supplied tool details do not establish precise duration controls, exact instrument selection, or whether a generated track will end cleanly. If those details matter, check the vendor’s current feature information and judge the actual audio.

Create And Shape The Music

  1. Choose the tool and enter one prompt. Begin with a single mood and a small number of arrangement cues. Ask for instrumental music and space for speech; avoid lyrics or vocals in the brief.
  2. Generate several candidates. Keep the wording stable while you compare results, then change one detail at a time, such as the pace or brightness. This makes it easier to hear which instruction improved the fit.
  3. Listen with your speaking voice. Play each candidate under a sample of the host’s narration. Reject music that makes the words hard to follow, feels too busy, or takes too long to establish the show’s mood.
  4. Choose a usable excerpt. In your audio editor, find a brief opening that works immediately and an ending that sounds intentional. A suggested starting target is roughly 8–12 seconds; that is an editorial choice, not a tool limit.
  5. Edit only what the tool supports. Eleven Music lists section editing and stems; Soundverse lists stems and MIDI export; Musicful lists vocal or instrumental stem separation. Use those options if you need to adjust a section or work with parts, and check the vendor’s site for export details beyond those listed here.
  6. Place narration and music in your episode editor. Keep the music quieter whenever the host speaks, and listen on headphones and ordinary device speakers. Adjust the level by ear until the words remain clear, then check the transition from music to the first spoken line.
  7. Save a clean master. Export or save the finished intro in the format your podcast workflow accepts. MP3/WAV exports are listed for Eleven Music and Musicful; Soundverse lists WAV mixes. Confirm any format, sample-rate, or delivery requirements with your editor or distributor.

Check Rights Before Publishing

Do not assume that a free generation is cleared for a monetized or branded show. Soundverse lists commercial licenses on Creator & Pro; its Free Tier entry does not establish commercial rights. Eleven Music says commercial rights vary by plan, and Musicful limits commercial use to Standard/Pro while Free/Basic is non-commercial. Check the current terms for the plan and use you intend, including podcast distribution. If you use an uploaded voice or other reference audio, make sure you have permission to use it and review the platform’s terms for that material.
