To make an AI song, write a short brief that names the subject, mood, style, vocal approach and song structure; generate a draft; then revise the lyrics or musical direction until the result fits. For example: “A warm, mid-tempo song about leaving a familiar city, with reflective verses, a memorable hopeful chorus, and a restrained instrumental outro.” Treat that as a starting point: a prompt does not guarantee a particular sound, and each service gives you different ways to steer and edit the result.
Write A Brief The Generator Can Use
Decide what the song needs to do before choosing words for the prompt. A personal song, a short theme, and background music call for different structures and levels of lyrical detail. Include the parts that matter to you, and leave room for the generator to interpret the rest.

- Subject: State who or what the song is about and the central feeling or change.
- Style and mood: Name a broad style and a few descriptive qualities. If a particular genre, artist reference, instrument or sound is essential, check whether the service supports it; the capabilities listed for a product may not establish that specific detail.
- Vocals: Say whether you want lyrics and vocals or an instrumental. Add a vocal quality only if it matters, and check that the service offers the control you want.
- Structure: Request sections such as verse and chorus, or describe how the song should build. Some tools support structural control; a plain-text request does not guarantee the form will be followed.
- Use: Say whether you are making a sketch, a personal song, or music for a project. Check the service’s terms for the intended use before publishing or monetizing a result.
A more directed example is: “An upbeat song about a first day at a new job. Start with a short verse that feels nervous, move to a bright, easy-to-remember chorus about finding your feet, then return to a second verse with more confidence. Use a full-band pop feel and clear vocals.” These are creative instructions, not claims that a particular tool guarantees a genre, vocal sound or arrangement.
Choose A Songmaking Workflow
These services support different parts of the process. Pick one according to whether you want a quick complete-song draft, detailed songwriting control, or revisions after the first generation.

| Tool | What Its Listed Workflow Supports | Useful Starting Point |
|---|---|---|
| Suno | Complete songs with vocals, lyrics and instrumentation; editing, remixing, extensions, section replacement and stem export. Web, iOS and Android are listed. | Start with a complete-song brief, then use editing or section replacement to work on a part that needs a change. |
| Eleven Music | Full songs with vocals, lyrics or instrumental tracks; section editing, inpainting, genre transitions, stems and MP3/WAV exports. | Describe the sections and elements you want, then use section editing or inpainting for a focused revision. |
| SongIntent | Song creation from ideas, lyrics, flows, beats or melodies, with cadence capture, melody sketches, structure and line-level revisions. | Bring a lyric or rhythmic sketch if you have one, and revise individual lines or the structure as you develop the draft. |
| Beatbot | Songs, vocals, beats and instrumentals from prompts or lyrics, with genre, mood and tempo controls. iPhone and Android are listed. | Use a compact prompt and specify mood and tempo when those are central to the idea. |
| Boppy | Vocal or instrumental songs from text descriptions, with duration, BPM, key and time-signature controls; web, iOS and Android are listed. | Try a concise description and set duration or musical controls when you already know what you need. |
| AI Song Creator | Complete songs from a text prompt or supplied lyrics, including melody, rhythm, vocals or instrumentals. | Use supplied lyrics when the words are already important to the song; otherwise describe the idea in a prompt. |
| Audilo | Original songs from an idea, story, feeling, conversation or the user’s music. | Begin with a narrative or feeling if that is easier to explain than a genre label. |
| Csong.ai | Songs from text, lyrics and ideas, with vocals and music; each generation gives two song versions. | Compare the two versions from one generation to decide which direction better matches your brief. |
The listed capabilities do not establish every genre, language, device detail, export option or kind of fine-grained control a reader might need. Check the product site for that specific requirement before building a workflow around it.
Revise The Draft In Deliberate Passes
Changing one thing at a time makes it easier to tell whether a revision improved the song. Keep a copy of the brief and lyrics you prefer, and make the next request concrete: for example, ask for a shorter chorus, a less triumphant mood, or a clearer distinction between verse and chorus. Those are requests to try, not guaranteed controls on every service.

- Generate a first draft: Use the brief to establish the song’s subject, feel and broad shape.
- Check the words: Read or listen for unclear lines, awkward phrasing and whether the chorus expresses the main idea.
- Choose one musical change: Adjust a single aspect of the direction, such as energy, tempo or section contrast, when the product supports it.
- Revise the weakest section: Use line-level revision or section editing if available; otherwise, make a new prompt that names the change you want.
- Save a usable version: If you plan to edit outside the service, confirm the export format and any stem or project-file options on its site.
Check Rights Before Sharing Or Releasing A Song
Being able to generate or download a track does not by itself establish what uses are allowed. Product terms can differ by plan and output, so check the current terms for your intended use. If a song uses a real person’s voice, lyrics, recording or other material, get the necessary consent and check the service’s rules for those inputs and outputs. Do not assume that a generated cover or imitation is cleared just because a tool can create it.
The U.S. Copyright Office says works generated entirely by AI are not copyrightable, prompts alone do not make someone the author, and only human-authored parts of a mixed work may be protected. Applicants registering a work with more than a minimal amount of AI-generated material must disclose it and describe the human author’s contribution. See the Copyright Office’s AI report information.

Keep your own lyrics, edits and project notes if you want to document your contribution. Whether a particular result can be used or registered depends on more than the fact that you wrote a prompt; check the applicable service terms and official guidance for your situation.
