Make a lo-fi track by building a simple drum groove, adding a warm chord loop and bass, arranging a short structure, then exporting stems for gentle filtering and texture. Use the tool that matches the part you want automated, and keep every source, voice and sample within that service’s permission and licensing terms.

Make The Lo-Fi Track Step By Step
- Set a compact brief. Write one sentence such as “lo-fi hip-hop instrumental, slow head-nod groove, dusty drums, mellow electric piano, warm bass, rainy-night mood, 78 BPM, 90 seconds.” Keep the tempo, mood, instruments and length consistent as you move between tools.
- Sketch the drum pocket in Vibe Drummer (Mac). Open Vibe Drummer, enter the brief in natural language, then draw the kick and snare pattern. Ask for soft hi-hats, slight swing and occasional fills. Export the Standard MIDI file and open it in Logic Pro, Ableton or FL Studio.
- Build the editable beat in Beat Shaper. In Beat Shaper, set genre, mood, energy and syncopation controls toward a restrained feel. Generate drums, bass, synths and a short arrangement, then correct notes in the piano roll. Export MIDI or stems for your DAW; Starter downloads are limited to MP3 and non-commercial use, while the Creator plan includes commercial usage rights.
- Generate an alternate instrumental on Soundverse. Open Soundverse AI Beat Maker, paste the brief, and request a complete instrumental with drums, bass, melody and arrangement. Compare the result with your Beat Shaper sketch, then export the WAV mix, separated stems or MIDI you want to keep. The free signup allocation is 1,000 tokens.
- Try a complete song sketch in Suno. In Suno, choose an instrumental direction and paste the brief as the style instruction. If you want a vocal reference, add short original lyrics; otherwise keep the vocal setting off. Use its editing, remix, extension or section-replacement controls to make the intro and ending fit your target length. Do not treat a Free Plan result as commercially cleared.
- Refine sections in Eleven Music or Udio. Use Eleven Music when you want inpainting, genre transitions, audio references, stems or WAV/MP3 exports. Use Udio when lyric editing, voice references, extensions and Sessions are more useful. For either service, replace only one section at a time so the kick, bass and chord loop remain stable. Check current download availability in Udio before planning an export.
- Add texture with Loudly. Upload your chosen instrumental to Loudly and use remixing, effects or mastering for a subtle tape-like change. Export separated stems if you need to process drums, bass and melody independently. A free generated track is limited to 30 seconds, and licensing for paid output follows the plan you choose.
- Make a clean background version in SOUNDRAW. If the track is for a video, open SOUNDRAW, choose genre, mood, theme, instruments, tempo and length, then adjust the arrangement against the video preview. Keep it instrumental, since vocal generation and audio upload are not offered. Artist plans include distribution and monetization for modified songs; WAV and stem downloads are limited to Artist Pro, Artist Unlimited and Enterprise.
- Mix and export. In your DAW, lower the drum level until the groove supports the chords, high-pass non-bass parts, apply gentle saturation, and leave headroom on the master. Export a WAV for archiving and an MP3 for sharing. Keep the MIDI and stems beside the final mix so you can change the arrangement later.
Handle Voices, Covers And Samples Carefully
Use lyrics, recordings, reference audio and samples only when you have permission to use them. Do not clone or blend a recognizable person’s voice without that person’s consent. Commercial rights differ by product and plan: Suno’s Free Plan has no commercial rights, Beat Shaper Starter is non-commercial, Eleven Music rights vary by plan and exclude film, TV and studio games, Loudly licensing depends on plan, and InsMelo’s commercial rights depend on its subscription or license terms. Read the current terms for the account and output you actually use before releasing a track.
