Make techno by building a locked four-on-the-floor groove first, then adding a repeating bass pattern, a small set of synth motifs, controlled variation and a clean arrangement. Set The Techno Brief Before Generating
- Pick a tempo target, such as 124–132 BPM, and keep it fixed while comparing ideas.
- Describe a four-on-the-floor kick, off-beat open hi-hat, restrained clap or snare, percussion loops and a repeating bass pulse.
- Specify one mood and one arrangement arc: for example, 32-bar intro, gradual filter opening, breakdown, second drop and DJ-friendly outro.
- Ask for instrumental output when you need a club track. Add vocals only when they serve the concept.
- Request variation by section rather than constant fills: “small timbral changes every eight bars, no new chord progression.”
Build The Core Groove

Turn The Sketch Into A Track
- Choose one kick, one bass sound and one main synth motif. Delete competing layers instead of stacking every generated part.
- Arrange energy in blocks: intro, first groove, tension lift, breakdown, main drop and outro. Change one element at a time so the pulse remains clear.
- Use MIDI where available to retune bass notes, shorten hi-hats and move percussion off the kick. Use stems when you need to process drums, bass and synths separately.
- Automate filter cutoff, reverb send and delay feedback at transitions. Keep low-frequency effects controlled so the kick remains the reference point.
- Compare the track at low volume and on headphones. Remove any part that masks the kick or makes the groove feel less stable.
