Then make and preserve deliberate human decisions: write or substantially revise lyrics, choose and arrange sections, edit transitions, and select or alter musical parts. Keep dated drafts, project files, prompt versions, and export records. Human contribution can help show what you created, but it does not grant rights to material borrowed from someone else.

Step 3: Audit Every Sound And Voice Before Export
- Use only lyrics, recordings, samples, and reference audio you made or have permission to use. A generator’s output does not establish permission for material you supplied.
- Do not make a vocal sound like an identifiable real performer without that person’s authorization. Spotify says vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it.

It reported removing more than 75 million spammy tracks in the preceding 12 months. Step 4: Pick A Distributor And Verify Its Rules
Distribution is a separate service from music generation. Ditto Music lists unlimited releases across 150+ music platforms and 100% of streaming royalties retained by users; its Starter plan is limited to one artist. DistroKid lists unlimited uploads to 150+ streaming services and stores, with automatic royalty splits; its Musician plan supports one artist or band, and YouTube Content ID monetization uses the Social Media Pack. For a YouTube release, disclose realistic altered or synthetic content using YouTube’s altered-or-synthetic content label when the content could be mistaken for a real person’s performance. YouTube renamed its “repetitious content” monetization rule to the “inauthentic content” policy on July 15, 2025; the policy targets mass-produced, repetitive, or template-based uploads rather than AI use as such. Give each release a distinct arrangement, artwork, title, and description that accurately represents the track. Do not flood a service with near-identical versions or use misleading artist identities. Keep the project and rights records available after release, and respond promptly to any platform or distributor request for documentation.
