Choose A Creation Workflow That Produces Release Files
Your release needs more than a playable preview. Check that the creation service can provide a downloadable mix, and use stems or MIDI when you need to repair vocals, rebalance instruments or create an instrumental version.

Write A Prompt For A Release-Ready Song
Describe the musical identity and the files you need. Keep a version log so you can identify the exact generation used in your metadata and cover art workflow.
For A Vocal Single
Try a prompt such as: “Two-and-a-half-minute electronic pop single, intimate lead vocal, original lyrics about rebuilding after a breakup, verse-pre-chorus-chorus structure, clean ending for a radio edit, clear vocal over a restrained synth arrangement.” Then request alternate takes with a different tempo, vocal intensity or chorus length. Do not ask the model to imitate a named singer.

For An Instrumental Release
Try: “Three-minute cinematic ambient instrumental, piano motif introduced in the first eight bars, gradual string build, no vocals, clear final cadence, stereo mix suitable for download.” Soundverse AI Beat Maker can provide stems and MIDI when you want to edit the arrangement.
For A Multi-Version Release
Create and label a main mix, instrumental, clean edit and short preview only when the service can export them. Udio currently cannot export stems during its transition period, so use another workflow when separated files are essential.

Check Consent, Samples And Commercial Terms
- Use only lyrics, recordings, voices and references you have permission to use. Vocal impersonation requires authorization from the impersonated artist under Spotify’s announced AI protections; read the generator’s current terms before releasing a voice-based track.
- Do not upload a sample or audio reference unless you control it or have permission. Each service’s terms govern what you may upload and release.
- Confirm commercial eligibility on the plan that generated the final file. Suno Free has no commercial rights; Eleven Music’s commercial rights vary by plan; Soundverse lists commercial licenses with Creator & Pro; and Udio’s current download transition affects delivery.
- If you make a cover, obtain the required permission or license. Soundrop specifically includes cover-song licensing in its per-track distribution offer, but you still need to follow its process and terms.
Export And Inspect The Master
- Export the highest-quality file your plan provides. Eleven Music lists MP3/WAV exports; Soundverse AI Beat Maker lists WAV mixes, stems and MIDI; Suno lists stem export on supported plans.
- Listen from start to finish on headphones, phone speakers and your normal listening setup. Check clipped peaks, abrupt edits, lyric mistakes, duplicated sections and silence at the start or end.
- Use stems or MIDI to rebalance a vocal, remove an unwanted layer or make an instrumental version. Keep the original generation unchanged as an archive.
- Render one final master and name files consistently, for example
Artist_Title_Main.wavandArtist_Title_Instrumental.wav. Keep a private record of prompts, generation dates, plan level and any human edits.
Prepare Credits And AI Disclosure
List the human contributors, lyric writers, performers, editors and producers who actually contributed. The U.S. Copyright Office says material generated entirely by AI is not copyrightable, prompts alone do not make someone the author, and only human-authored parts of a mixed work can be protected. Applications containing more than a minimal amount of AI-generated material must disclose it and describe the human contribution. Read the Copyright Office AI reports and registration guidance for the current wording.
Spotify announced support for DDEX AI disclosures in credits and an AI spam filter, and later announced an “AI Persona” badge for artist identities that may be AI-generated. Supply truthful credits and disclosures wherever your distributor provides those fields; do not present an AI identity as a consenting human performer.

Submit The Release
- Create the release in your chosen distributor and enter the title, artist name, language, genre, contributors and release date exactly as they appear in your files. If a field is not documented by the distributor, check its current help page rather than guessing.
- Upload the final master and artwork, then add lyrics and synchronized lyrics only if you have rights to publish them and the distributor supports the selected plan.
- Use the distributor’s AI, rights or licensing fields to disclose generated material accurately. Attach consent information for an authorized voice or any licensed cover when the service requests it.
- Review the store preview, artist mapping, track order and revenue-split percentages before submitting. Save the confirmation and your final metadata sheet.
After Delivery, Monitor And Correct
Check each store page after the distributor reports delivery. Compare the live audio with your master, verify the artist profile and inspect credits. If a store flags a vocal, sample, duplicate or spam issue, pause promotion and resolve it through the distributor with your permission records and generation notes. Spotify said it removed more than 75 million spammy tracks in the previous 12 months, so avoid mass-uploading near-duplicate AI tracks.

Release Checklist
- Final mix and any instrumental or clean versions open correctly.
- All voices, lyrics, samples and covers have the required permission or license.
