Turn a rough idea into a song by giving an AI music tool a clear subject, choosing whether you want vocals or an instrumental, and refining one part at a time. Start with a short brief, generate a draft, then adjust the lyrics, style, or structure using the controls the tool actually provides.

Describe the idea in plain language before adding musical detail. Make the central image or situation concrete, and decide what should change between the beginning and end. For example: “A night-shift baker watches the city wake up and decides to leave a job that no longer fits.” That gives a writer or generator a subject, setting, and emotional turn.

Then add only the choices that matter to you: vocal or instrumental, the feeling you want, and any style reference you can describe without naming an unsupported feature. For a vocal song, say whether you have finished lyrics or want help developing them. For an instrumental, state what the music should do in the scene. Treat details such as exact tempo, key, instruments, and language as requests to verify in the product rather than guaranteed controls.
Make A First Draft
- Choose a tool that accepts your input. For example, if a draft about the baker sounds triumphant from the start, revise the prompt to ask for a restrained opening and a gradual move toward resolve. If only one lyric line feels generic, replace that line with a specific detail from the story rather than rewriting the whole song.

Save the version that best expresses your idea, and keep your original notes and lyrics. If you plan to release or monetize the result, check the selected product’s current terms and the rights attached to your plan.
