Choose Suno if you want a complete, editable song workspace with a documented free tier, mobile apps, stems and a paid path to commercial use. Choose MakeBestMusic if you want to turn lyrics, moods or prompts into songs and need an advertised royalty-free workflow, while checking its current plan and licensing terms before publishing. The services overlap, but the available evidence describes Suno in much more detail. That makes Suno easier to evaluate for a repeatable production workflow; MakeBestMusic requires more verification at the point where you choose a plan.

What The Difference Means For A Song Project
When Suno Is The Safer Starting Point
Suno’s documented workflow covers the whole arc from a text idea to a produced song. It can generate vocals, lyrics, instrumentation and production, then let you edit, remix, extend or replace a section. Stem export matters when you want to move vocal and instrumental parts into another editor, make a short social cut, or rebalance a vocal without regenerating the entire song.

The platform choice is also explicit: Suno lists web, iOS and Android access. Suno Studio is limited to the Premier Plan, so do not assume every editing feature is available on the lower paid tier. Pro has a 20-song monthly download limit, which is a practical constraint for a project that creates many alternate versions.
When MakeBestMusic Deserves A Trial
MakeBestMusic describes itself as a versatile AI music maker that brings generation and supporting music tools together. Its stated inputs are lyrics, moods and creative prompts, so it fits a songwriter who already has words or a clear emotional brief and wants a produced result. Its site lists a wide set of styles, from Hip-Hop, Trap and Rap through Classical, Jazz, Rock, Ambient and Reggaeton.

The evidence does not establish MakeBestMusic’s price, platform coverage, editing controls, stem options, download quotas or exact free allowance. Treat those as open questions rather than assumed parity with Suno. Before committing a project, check the current plan page for the maximum duration, export rules and whether the royalty-free statement applies to the tier you intend to use.
Prompt And Workflow Examples
Compare The Same Brief
Use one controlled brief in both services so you compare the generators rather than two different creative ideas. For example: “Create a three-minute late-night synth-pop song about taking the last train home, with a memorable chorus, restrained verses, a clear lead vocal and a hopeful final section.” This asks for a complete song while specifying subject, structure, vocal focus and mood. Suno’s documented support for vocals, lyrics, instrumentation and production makes that brief directly relevant to its stated capabilities. MakeBestMusic’s prompt-based workflow also makes it a reasonable starting brief, but the exact controls and output structure are not established here.

Use A Lyrics-First Brief
If you have finished words, keep the lyric text fixed and vary only the mood and arrangement request. A useful brief is: “Use these lyrics for an intimate acoustic ballad; keep the verses sparse, make the chorus wider and leave space after the final line.” MakeBestMusic specifically presents lyrics and moods as inputs. Suno’s stated generation includes lyrics and instrumentation, and its editor features give you a route for revising a section after the first generation.
Plan For An Instrumental Variation
For background music, ask for an instrumental version in the prompt and identify the use case, such as a calm ambient bed for a spoken tutorial. Do not assume a service will preserve the same arrangement when removing vocals. With Suno, stem export is documented, but stem separation is excluded from the Free Plan. MakeBestMusic’s stem behavior is not stated, so verify it before choosing the service for a dialogue-underlay workflow.

Rights, Voices And Publishing Checks
Suno
Suno’s Free Plan does not include commercial rights. Suno says songs created as a paid subscriber are yours to keep and use, including as video background music or on an album, and its Pro description includes commercial-use rights. Keep the plan status attached to each track in your records; a song made on the free tier should not be treated as commercially cleared simply because a later subscription exists.
MakeBestMusic
MakeBestMusic advertises 100% royalty-free music, but its own stated qualification is that commercial usage depends on the applicable plan and licensing terms. Read those terms for the exact tier and creation date before monetizing a video, releasing a track or handing the file to a client.

Human Material In Prompts
For either service, use voices, lyrics, recordings and samples only when you have the needed permission. Neither product entry establishes a blanket right to imitate a particular living singer, upload someone else’s recording or reproduce a copyrighted song. Check each platform’s current rules for those cases and retain consent records when another person’s material is involved.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Cost And Limits That Affect Value
Suno has a concrete entry path: a Free Plan, a stated starting price of $8 per month for paid access, and a Pro allowance of 2,500 credits per month. The free plan lists 50 credits per day and allows audio uploads up to 8 minutes; Suno’s site separately advertises up to 10 songs per day without a credit card. Because credits, songs and downloads are different measures, compare the limit that matches your workflow. Pro’s 20-download monthly cap matters if you export many alternates, while Suno Studio requires Premier.

MakeBestMusic’s available facts establish neither a price nor a quota. Its “up to 8 mins” statement describes duration, not how many generations or exports a plan permits. That missing information is material for frequent iteration, so confirm monthly credits, queue limits, exports and commercial eligibility on the vendor site before comparing total cost.
Which One Should You Choose?
- Choose Suno for a clearly documented end-to-end workspace, mobile access, section-level editing, remixing, extensions and stems, with a paid plan that states commercial-use rights.
- Choose MakeBestMusic when its lyrics, mood and prompt workflow matches your starting material and its listed genre range covers the sound you want, provided its current plan and licence answer your publishing needs.
- Run a short parallel comparison when the decision is creative: use the same lyric or prompt, compare the vocal character, arrangement and revision effort, then check the rights attached to the winning track’s plan.
For most readers who need predictable production and post-generation control, Suno is the more fully specified choice. MakeBestMusic can be attractive for prompt-led songwriting and its stated royalty-free positioning, but its price, platform and production limits need confirmation before it becomes the foundation of a release workflow.
