Overview
Canon LUT Library provides downloadable Look Files for adjusting color tone and contrast in video grading. Files use the .cube format and can be used in compatible non-linear editing software or with supported cameras. The PC library sorts LUTs into eight groups, including Bleach Bypass, Black and White, Color, Contrast, History, Times of Day, Teal and Orange, and Color Filter. For software grading, users download and extract a LUT, then apply it according to the footage’s image gamma setting. The library separates Log to 709 LUTs, which convert Canon Log 2 or Log 3 footage to BT.709, from Log to Log LUTs, which retain Log data for later grading. A LUT can also be copied to a camera memory card and registered from its Custom Picture menu. For some cameras, the mobile site explains registration through Camera Connect without a PC.
