Spec score 7.9 #13 of 28 in AI lyric generators

What it is

Clavet is a web-based songwriting workspace from Crescender in Melbourne, Australia. It brings lyrics, melodies, voice notes, and song drafts into one place, with audio recording that automatically transcribes musical ideas into text. An AI assistant can suggest ideas, generate prompts, rewrite lyrics, and organize work; Crescender says user work is not used to train AI models. Song tools include version history, structure controls, a searchable library, and exports to PDF, DOCX, and plain text. Co-writers can be invited to share lyrics and snippets, record ownership splits, and maintain an audit trail. The maker says timestamped cryptographic authorship proof is provided under Australian copyright law. Songs connect to the Crescender repertoire for setlists and rehearsal plans, with shared sign-in. Clavet is described as offline-friendly and syncs after reconnection. Every feature and unlimited songwriting are included in the free, ad-supported plan.
