What it is

Cloudflare Stream is a managed video pipeline for uploading, encoding, storing, and delivering live or on-demand video through one API. Live inputs accept RTMPS or SRT broadcasts, which Stream encodes for its player or HLS and DASH-compatible players. A customizable web player is included, with React and Angular components, and Cloudflare documents playback in native iOS, tvOS, macOS, and Android apps. Editing supports clipping, captions, additional audio tracks, and watermarks. Captions can come from AI speech-to-text or uploaded WebVTT files up to 10 MB. Signed URLs and allowed-origin settings restrict playback access. Uploads are limited by default to 30 GB, with 120 videos queued or encoding simultaneously. Analytics are available in the dashboard and GraphQL Analytics API. Storage costs $5 a month per 1,000 minutes, while delivery costs $1 a month per 1,000 minutes delivered. There is no free plan.
