Spec score 8.1 #17 of 43 in Audio-to-MIDI converters

What it is

Drum2Notes uses AI to turn drum recordings or songs into sheet music. You can record audio, upload an MP3, or supply a YouTube link. The product says it detects snare, toms, bass drum, and cymbals played at the same time, including when other instruments are present. Notes can be adjusted in Edit Mode, and exports include PDF sheet music, quantized or unquantized MIDI, and MusicXML. The free demo covers the first 20 seconds of a recording and can be repeated as often as desired; full transcriptions are available through Pro. The product page lists paid plans from $14.99/mo, while the Pro plan price was not listed. Drum2Notes runs in a browser and has Android and iOS apps, with transcription synchronization between web and mobile. The maker notes that results depend on the source music and may need correction in Edit Mode. It supports audio up to 15 minutes. The product page directs users to a Help Center and Support Chat and advertises a 14-day money-back guarantee.
