What it is
Gyeeta is a free, open-source observability tool for Linux that runs in a self-hosted setup. It uses eBPF and kernel statistics to monitor hosts, services, and processes without application instrumentation. For TCP services, it reports query rates, latency, network throughput, active connections, and process resource use. Automatic discovery finds TCP services, clients, and dependencies without code changes or configuration inputs. Algorithms can identify service degradation or contention and suggest a probable cause. You can inspect results in a Web UI or query REST APIs, including queries spanning multiple hosts, with JSON responses. Alert notifications support email, Slack, PagerDuty, and webhooks. Documentation says data remains in-house. Installation is available through shell scripts, Helm charts, Docker containers, rpm or deb packages, and tar packages. The architecture documentation describes monitoring tens of thousands of hosts with one central server and intermediate servers. Gyeeta supports x86_64 Linux hosts with kernel 4.4 or newer.

Plans and prices
Strong points and limits
Strong points
- Free and open source
- No application instrumentation required
- Automatic service and dependency discovery
- REST API with multi-host queries
- Email, Slack, PagerDuty, and webhook alerts
Limits
- Linux x86_64 hosts only
- No serverless environment support
- Does not monitor application logs
- Basic Authentication only; OIDC/OAuth2 planned
Who it suits
Gyeeta suits teams operating self-hosted Linux infrastructure that need TCP service and process visibility without instrumenting applications. It is also suited to organizations keeping observability data in-house.
Verdict
Gyeeta combines agent-based Linux observability with automatic TCP service discovery and several alert channels. Its documented limits around protocols, integrations, serverless environments, and authentication should be checked before deployment.
