qEndpoint

What it is
qEndpoint is a free, open-source RDF triple store for self-hosted linked-data workloads. It supports full-text search, GeoSPARQL, and SPARQL 1.1, either as a standalone endpoint or as a dependency. A graphical interface lets users write and run SPARQL queries, while a RESTful HTTP API handles queries. Datasets can be uploaded in RDF4J-supported formats, including RDF/XML, Turtle, N-Triples, N-Quads, JSON-LD, TriG, and TriX. Result formats include JSON, XML, and Binary RDF. Docker images are available for qEndpoint and for a Wikidata-indexed variant supporting wikidata_truthy and wikidata_all datasets. The Docker setup defaults to 6G memory; large datasets are discouraged below 4G, and Wikidata-all requires at least 10G. Installation documentation covers Scoop, Homebrew, and a CLI ZIP release. The project describes Wikibase use and is licensed under GNU GPL v3.

Strong points and limits
Strong points
- Supports SPARQL 1.1 queries
- Includes full-text and GeoSPARQL
- Accepts several standard RDF formats
- Provides GUI and REST query interfaces
- Docker image includes Wikidata options
Limits
- Wikidata-all requires at least 10G memory
- Large datasets are discouraged below 4G
- Self-hosted operation is required
- Provided as-is without warranty
Who it suits
qEndpoint suits developers and administrators running RDF data services themselves on Linux, macOS, Windows, or Docker. It is relevant when SPARQL, full-text, GeoSPARQL, or Wikidata datasets are required.
Verdict
qEndpoint offers a broad RDF format and query interface set for self-hosted deployments. Memory requirements rise for large or Wikidata datasets, so deployment sizing is an explicit consideration.
