What it is
SpatiumDDI is a free, self-hosted control plane for DNS, DHCP, and IP address management. Its IPAM organizes hierarchical spaces, blocks, and subnets for IPv4 and IPv6. The control plane manages BIND9, PowerDNS, or Technitium DNS and Kea DHCP configurations, and lists agentless drivers for Cloudflare, Route 53, Azure DNS, Google Cloud DNS, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Linode, and Vultr. Existing Windows DNS and DHCP servers can connect through RFC 2136 and WinRM without software on domain controllers. Every UI action is exposed through a REST API, with Terraform and Ansible named as clients. Group-based RBAC and LDAP, OIDC, SAML, RADIUS, and TACACS+ are supported. Data stays in PostgreSQL on your infrastructure, with no telemetry or account-data collection stated. Docker Compose and Kubernetes with Helm are supported deployments.

Plans and prices
Strong points and limits
Strong points
- IPv4 and IPv6 address management
- Multiple DNS and DHCP backends
- Windows server connectivity without agents
- REST API with Terraform and Ansible
- Apache 2.0 and free features
Limits
- Beta software
- Recommended for non-critical populations
- Self-hosted deployment required
- Daily anonymous release check enabled by default
Who it suits
It suits labs, homelabs, and pilots managing DNS, DHCP, and IPAM on their own infrastructure. Teams should note that the project labels the software beta and targets non-critical client populations.
Verdict
SpatiumDDI provides broad, API-driven DNS, DHCP, and IPAM control while keeping data on the operator’s infrastructure. Its beta status and self-hosted model make deployment context important.
