What it is

StarSpell is a spelling, phonics and literacy program for school and home use, with practice built around Look-Cover-Write-Check. Each spelling exercise combines sound, pictures and a supporting sentence. Its main lists contain more than 5,000 spoken words arranged by phonic progression; early learners also have a phonics section, and curriculum lists support or extend the National Curriculum in England. Learners can add their own words and lists. Free teacher mode lets a teacher set the pace for a class using a large screen or interactive whiteboard.
