Tencent Cloud GooseFS

What it is
Tencent Cloud GooseFS is a distributed data-acceleration and caching service for storage access in data analysis, machine learning, and AI workloads. It can run with compute nodes to improve data locality, cache performance, and write bandwidth to Tencent Cloud COS. GooseFS supports HDFS and POSIX protocols and connects local file systems, COS, and Tencent Cloud HDFS through a unified namespace and access APIs. Documented namespace backends include COS, CHDFS, and local HDFS. Cache configurations support one or multiple levels, memory, SSD, or HDD media, and LRU or LRFU replacement policies. GooseFS Catalog can recognize metadata tables and preheat table-level caches. Public-cloud clusters use local compute-node disks as cache nodes, while COS is directed for persistent storage. Monitoring can report to Tencent Cloud Observability Platform or Cloud Log Service. The service runs through API, Linux, self-hosted, and web platforms, uses a hybrid deployment model, and bills postpaid pay-as-you-go hourly; usage under one hour is billed as one hour.
