The free Developer Edition includes core features and commercial use, one offline and one cloud workspace, and up to five invited users per workspace. Offline workspaces can be used without an account. Team Edition costs $14 a month per user when billed annually; Enterprise Edition costs $29 a month per user when billed annually. Paid plans have a 14-day free trial enabled by contacting sales. Desktop apps support macOS 12 or later, Windows 10 or later (64-bit), and Ubuntu 20+ and compatible Linux distributions. Testfully in depth
Read the full write-up
Overview
Testfully brings API requests, automated testing and monitoring into a shared workspace. It is best suited to engineering and test teams that want their API checks to move from development into CI/CD and recurring monitoring. Its free plan is unusually capable for individual evaluation, but team scale and monitoring usage bring paid costs.
Key features
Requests and tests
The client handles RESTful, GraphQL and XML APIs, supports OpenAPI Specification and imports from Postman and Insomnia. No-code response validation and contract testing, request chaining, folder runners, scripts and a CLI cover a useful range from exploratory work to repeatable checks. CLI execution can integrate with CI/CD pipelines, making Testfully a stronger fit for teams that want API tests in their delivery process than for users who only need a lightweight request client. GraphQL is supported; gRPC and WebSocket are not.
Monitoring and teamwork
Monitoring can reuse workspace requests, retain a complete history of runs and send alerts through email, SMS, Slack or PagerDuty. Whitelisting Testfully IP addresses supports monitoring setups that restrict inbound traffic. Teams can assign roles and control folder access; Team adds custom roles and permissions. Priority support is also included in Team.
Cloud and local offline storage give teams a choice about where workspaces live. Offline workspaces can be used without an account, while Team adds Git integration for offline workspaces. Security-conscious organizations may value the stated SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001:2022 and HIPAA compliance, alongside encryption at rest and TLS 1.2 or higher in transit. Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM, domain capture, audit logs and compliance reports.
Pricing
Developer Edition costs nothing. It includes core features for commercial use, one offline and one cloud workspace, up to five invited users per workspace, unlimited Collection Runner use and the Testfully CLI. That is enough to evaluate the core workflow or support a small project, but the workspace and user caps limit its suitability for a growing team.
Team Edition costs $14 a month per user, billed annually. It removes workspace and per-workspace user limits and adds Git integration for offline workspaces, custom roles and permissions, secret management, and admin and user management. The per-user annual commitment makes it a better fit for established teams than occasional collaborators. All paid plans have a 14-day free trial, enabled by contacting sales.
Enterprise Edition costs $29 a month per user, billed annually. It includes all features with no limits or add-ons, plus SSO, SCIM integration, domain capture, audit logs and compliance reports. It is aimed at organizations that need centralized identity and governance; those features are difficult to justify for a small team that can work within Team's controls. Enterprise customers can pay by bank transfer. Stripe processes other payments, with major credit cards accepted.
Monitoring credits are separate add-ons: 10K costs $10 a month, 30K costs $27 a month, 50K costs $40 a month, and 100K costs $70 a month. Teams should account for these charges when estimating monitoring costs rather than assuming the per-user plan price covers every monitoring requirement.
Platforms
Testfully is available on the web, as desktop software for macOS 12 or later, Windows 10 or later (64-bit), Ubuntu 20+ and compatible Linux distributions, and through browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Safari support is marked as coming soon. The mix of web, desktop and extension access suits teams working across different environments.
Who it's for
Software engineers, DevOps engineers and software testers are the clearest audience: the product connects request authoring, automated checks, CI/CD execution and monitoring. Teams migrating from Postman or Insomnia can import existing data, while teams needing offline storage can keep workspaces local. It is a weaker fit if the required protocols include gRPC or WebSocket, or if a project needs more than five free-plan users per workspace without moving to a paid tier.
Pros and cons
Pros: Core features and commercial use are available on the free plan, with CLI and unlimited Collection Runner use included.
Pros: Requests can carry through testing into monitoring, with run history and several alert channels.
Pros: Cloud and offline storage, plus imports from Postman and Insomnia, support different working preferences and migration paths.
Cons: The free plan caps users at five per workspace and provides only one offline and one cloud workspace.
Cons: Paid plans are priced per user with annual billing, and the trial requires contacting sales.
Cons: Monitoring credits are additional monthly charges, and gRPC and WebSocket are unsupported.
Alternatives
Consider Postman if its API client, core tools, specs, mock servers, native Git and Collection Runner better match your workflow; its free plan also includes 50 AI credits. Apidog is worth comparing if a time-unlimited free plan for four users or its broader platform availability, including self-hosted, is a priority. Insomnia may suit teams that want a free Essentials tier with Git Sync projects for three users and 1,000 mock-server requests per month. Bruno is an option for those drawn to an Open Source plan with two workspaces and five OpenAPI syncs per month.
SoapUI offers REST, SOAP and GraphQL testing, functional and regression testing, API mocking and command-line automation. Kreya has a free plan for individuals with request history limited to the latest request. HTTPie offers free web and desktop software in public beta that works offline without an account, plus a free open-source terminal client. Hoppscotch has a free plan for REST, GraphQL and realtime API testing with a personal workspace, collections and environments, and pre-request scripts.
Verdict
Choose Testfully if your team wants one workspace-based path from API requests to CI/CD tests and ongoing monitoring, with both cloud and offline options. The free plan makes that workflow accessible, and Team removes its workspace and user caps, but annual per-user pricing and separate monitoring credits can raise the cost as adoption grows. Look elsewhere if you need gRPC or WebSocket support, or a different pricing and collaboration model.
Verdict
Testfully combines API testing with monitoring, team workspaces and offline storage. The free plan has workspace limits, while paid plans have stated per-user annual-billing prices and a trial arranged through sales.
