Spec score 8.0 #12 of 28 in AI Search Engines

What it is

Yahoo Scout is an AI answer and discovery engine that draws on Yahoo properties, licensed content partners, and the wider web. It returns summaries, explanations, and other responses with visuals, context, citations, and links to sources. Example tasks include planning, brainstorming, creating, and comparing. Follow-up questions stay in threads and use earlier messages for context. Scout is available in beta on desktop and mobile web and in the Yahoo Search apps for iOS and Android. It also appears across Yahoo Mail, Search, News, Sports, Shopping, and Finance, with features such as email summaries, shopping recommendations, and stock-related insights. MyScout lets users arrange a homepage with topic and Yahoo update tiles. Many features work without an account, while signing in unlocks personalization and saved preferences; a Yahoo account is required to view current chat threads. Yahoo says Scout is intended for adults and can make mistakes, and advises against relying on it for professional advice. The free service has no paid subscription requirement at launch.
