In their own words
3D-Tool
3D-Tool is a Windows CAD viewer and converter for opening, inspecting, measuring, analyzing and converting 3D models and 2D drawings without a separate CAD system. It reads more than 30 3D formats and supports DXF, DWG and HPGL drawings, though available formats depend on license edition. Measurement tools cover distances, angles, radii, wall thicknesses and clearances, and calculate centers of mass, surface areas, contour lengths and minimum bounding boxes. Analysis includes tooling, wall thickness, collisions and model comparison, with results shown as heatmaps. Models can be exported as EXE files or 3D-PDF; Premium adds 3D-HTML conversion and native interfaces for listed CAD systems. The Free Viewer opens DDD, STL and 3MF files, has no time limit or registration requirement, and permits commercial use. Paid single-user licenses are one-time purchases: Basic is € 200, Advanced € 400 and Premium € 800, plus VAT. A 14-day trial unlocks all functions and import formats.
DWG FastView
DWG FastView is CAD software for opening, editing, measuring and sharing drawing files across Android, iOS, web, Windows and self-hosted environments. It supports DWG, DXF, DWF and DWFx, with tools for 2D editing and viewing 3D formats such as RVT, STEP and IFC. Layer and layout controls sit alongside length and area measurements, annotations, dimensions and PDF-to-DWG conversion. DWG drawings can be exported to PDF, JPEG, PNG or BMP. Sharing is available by link, group or email, with permission controls; the maker says the web viewer can open local drawings in the browser without uploading them. Its enterprise CAD SDK is described as supporting private deployment on Windows and Linux servers, plus integrations with web disks, office automation, ERP, file and archive managers, and project or engineering management systems. A free plan and trial are available. Listed mobile subscriptions include Premium at $3.99 a month and Super at $5.83 a month; the pricing note also lists paid access from $7.99/user/mo. Expired subscribers can continue using the software without premium features.
