In their own words
3DPrinterOS
3DPrinterOS is a cloud platform for managing 3D printers, files, users, and print workflows. It supports remote printing, live monitoring, print queues, and failure detection. A cloud slicer prepares models, while toolpath visualization and G-code analysis support print preparation. The platform is described as vendor-agnostic and supports FDM and SLA printers, including Bambu Lab, UltiMaker, Creality, FlashForge, LulzBot, Prusa, Dremel, and Formlabs. Listed integrations include TinkerCAD, Bambu Lab, Klipper, Prusa, Dremel, and Ultimaker. Education plans are aimed at schools, universities, libraries, and makerspaces; Enterprise is for manufacturers, engineering teams, service bureaus, R&D departments, and corporate prototyping labs. Enterprise lists unlimited printer management, automatic job assignment, fleet visibility, and SAML 2.0 single sign-on. The platform supports private cloud or on-premise deployment. Premium costs $19 a month for 2 printers and 1 user. A 14-day trial provides full Premium access. Education and Enterprise pricing is custom.
OrcaSlicer
OrcaSlicer is a free, open-source slicer for FDM 3D printers on Windows, macOS, and Linux. It controls speed, layer height, pressure, and temperature independently for walls, infill, supports, and other features. Calibration tools cover flow rate, pressure advance, temperature towers, retraction, tolerance, and maximum volumetric speed. Tuned presets are provided for hundreds of printers, including Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and Voron. Jobs can be sent to and monitored on Klipper, PrusaLink, or OctoPrint printers. The slicer supports automatic supports, model repair, multi-material printing, and variable layer height, but not resin or cloud slicing. Input formats include STL, 3MF, STEP, DRC, OBJ, AMF, SVG, and ZIP; outputs include G-code, Gcode.3MF, OBJ, STL, DRC, and generic 3MF. The desktop app works offline without accounts or telemetry, keeping project data on the device. It is licensed under AGPL-3.0.
