5Mods
5Mods is a free web directory for GTA 5 car mods, scripts, tools, and other game files. Its categories cover modding tools, vehicles and paint jobs, weapons, scripts, players, maps, and miscellaneous mods. Visitors can browse latest, featured, most liked, most downloaded, and highest rated files. Filters include vehicle type, script hook, trainer, mission, skin, clothing, graphics, animation, and vegetation. Listings include version history, dependency tracking, and community comments, and the homepage links to a 5mods Discord server. Some parts of the site may require an account. Users can submit text, comments, images, videos, and other content; submissions may be publicly accessible, and the terms grant the site a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute them. The site may moderate or remove content. Its privacy policy allows anonymous visits and says personal identification information is collected when voluntarily submitted. Cookies and third-party interest-based advertising are used, and the service is provided as is.
ModWorkshop
ModWorkshop is a free community platform for sharing and downloading game modifications, with listings for 65 games. Its catalog includes PAYDAY 2, PAYDAY: The Heist, Noita, and Crime Boss. Visitors can browse game pages, news, forums, Discord links, and community comments, while dependency tracking helps relate required components. Downloading does not require an account, and the site says it does not artificially throttle download speeds. The API is available to anyone and currently supports GET requests only. Open-source, community-maintained mod managers, update tools, and downloaders may integrate through it; official integration into games or developers’ first-party tools is forbidden. Uploaded submissions must be open source, with repository links or source code required for compiled or obfuscated code. ModWorkshop began as The Team Mystery in 2012 and adopted its current name in 2016. It runs on the web and offers an API.
