In their own words

Achievement Scavenger

Achievement Scavenger is a desktop companion for tracking game achievements and following completion guides. It tracks progress for Steam, PlayStation, RetroAchievements, and Xbox while detecting launched games and showing live achievement status and rarity. It can capture a screenshot when an achievement unlocks and warn about missable achievements before a point of no return. Community walkthroughs combine step-by-step text and embedded media with live tracking and interactive checklists for collectibles and side quests. Mini Mode stays on top while playing, offers five overlay styles, and can be toggled with Ctrl+Shift+T. A local server and QR code let users open a mobile-optimized tracker, walkthroughs, and checklists on a phone. GitHub Gists can back up and restore history and checklists across devices. The project is GNU GPL licensed and costs nothing. Installation is listed for Windows 10/11 and Linux/Steam Deck. Depending on the tracking services used, setup may require API keys, tokens, or accounts. Hints, chapters, checklists, and missable flags come from a separate community database.

Backloggr

Backloggr brings a video game collection and play history together in an app for iOS and macOS. It tracks games, ratings, backlog, and play activity, with a database the service says contains more than 350,000 games across 250+ platforms. PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam libraries can sync automatically; the App Store listing also mentions Nintendo Switch importing. Physical copies and indie games can be added manually. Progress views include collection size, completion rate, backlog depth, hours played, a backlog score, and a Year in Review. For discovery, Backloggr lists games trending by community activity, wishlisted-release countdowns, and new releases sorted by hype. A dashboard combines Steam achievements, PlayStation trophies, and Xbox Gamerscore. Community features listed for the app include reviews, public lists, follows, comments, direct messages, badges, and a feed. The free plan includes library import, game tracking, trophies, and backlog tracking. Pro costs $2.99 a month, $8.99 a year, or 14.99 USD once. The website privacy policy says it is a placeholder that still needs actual processing and controller details.
