In their own words

ACRCloud

ACRCloud provides audio recognition services for files, streams, and live broadcasts. Its music recognition uses a fingerprint database of more than 150 million tracks, and results can include links to Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and YouTube, as well as ISRC and UPC codes. Other listed capabilities include metadata, AI music detection, broadcast monitoring, cover song identification, second-screen sync, copyright compliance, audience measurement, humming recognition, offline recognition, and speech to text. Teams can assemble workflows with APIs, SDKs, console tools, and documentation. Mobile SDK references cover iOS, Android, and Unity; its Go SDK supports Linux and macOS. The service is aimed at music services, broadcasters, labels, distributors, advertisers, automotive platforms, brands, and rights organizations. Distributors can compare user-generated content with the music database to identify copyright infringement risk. The platform supports Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, and Windows. The listed trial is free for 14 days, with full API access and no credit card required.

Google Pixel Now Playing

Google Pixel Now Playing is a free Android app from Google LLC that identifies nearby music and displays song details on a Pixel lock screen. You can start a manual lookup from the app, Quick Settings, a widget, or a lock-screen shortcut. Identified songs are kept in a history that supports searching and filtering by date and time. Songs can be favorited and shared from the home screen, Favorites, or History, and a connected music service can open a track. Google says some preferred services may not yet be available. Recognition begins with an on-device music library. If that does not identify a song, the app may send a short digital fingerprint for cloud search, not raw audio or conversations. Google says fingerprints are not stored or shared. The Play listing says Pixel 6 and later phones need the March 2026 Pixel Drop update or later, and activation may take 24 hours.
