Actionstep
Actionstep is legal practice management software that organizes work from client intake through case resolution. Its Practice Management offering includes matter and case management, intake and forms, document management and assembly, a client portal, workflow automation, billing, and trust accounting. Legal Accounting can be purchased separately or added to practice management; it covers general ledger, banking and reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, payments, trust accounting, and financial reporting, and is available only in North America. Add-on modules include Builder for document templates and matter-data population, Capture for intake forms and document collection, Trace for activity capture and AI-drafted time narratives, and Acumen for dashboards, metrics, and AI-powered questions and explanations. Actionstep connects with Microsoft Office 365 and provides access to integrations. Its mobile app is available for iOS and Android. Security includes AWS, multi-factor authentication, and single sign-on; the company completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination. Pricing is on request, and no free plan or free tier is stated.
LegalSifter
LegalSifter’s ReviewPro applies a company’s legal and risk positions to contracts and creates tracked-change drafts. Edits can include plain-English explanations and optional comments for the counterparty. ReviewPro Assistant can draft terms and make custom edits through a conversational interface. More than 100 standard playbooks are included, and users can build their own from templates, past redlines, or policy documents. Add-ins bring the product into Microsoft Word and Google Docs. The wider contract workflow includes a searchable repository, intake, ticketing, Kanban, approval workflows, obligation tracking, renewal alerts, AI contract review, native e-signature, and a workflow builder. LegalSifter says ReviewPro is hosted on AWS and is SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA compliant. The product is aimed at CFOs, COOs, and operations leads responsible for contracts; legal training is not required. Standard implementation and onboarding are included. The web product has paid annual plans, with listed prices ranging from $2,750 a year to $40,000 a year. A free trial runs for seven days and covers up to 20 contracts; it requires a company email and is limited to the US, Canada, and the European Union.
