In their own words

Activepieces

Activepieces is an AI automation platform for teams building workflows and AI agents, with governance and security controls. Users can describe an outcome in chat and have the platform create a flow or agent. Flows support branching, retries, waitpoints, subflows, error handling, human approvals, and inline TypeScript. Its catalog lists 764 integrations, including Gmail, Slack, OpenAI, Notion, Google Sheets, HubSpot, and Salesforce; every piece is included on every plan. Activepieces runs in its cloud, on customer infrastructure, or in air-gapped environments. Connected apps can also be made available through one MCP server for clients such as Claude, Cursor, and Windsurf. The company says customer automations, runs, documents, and prompts are not used to train models. Free includes 1,000 credits a month and one user; when credits run out, further runs wait until the next day’s refresh. Plus is $20 a month, and Team is $200 a month. It is available through web, API, and self-hosting.

Make

Make is a visual platform for integrating apps and automating workflows. Its no-code builder uses drag-and-drop modules, and automations can also be created in code or from a prompt. Scenarios support conditional flow control, data manipulation, HTTP requests, webhooks, notes, and analytics. Make lists more than 3,000 pre-built apps and integrations, along with custom apps and connections to public APIs. AI options include agents, tools, Maia natural-language automation building, and more than 300 AI app integrations. Each scenario action consumes credits, with some AI-provider features using more. The Free plan costs nothing and includes up to 1,000 credits monthly, two active scenarios, and a 15-minute minimum scheduled-run interval; it has no time limit and requires no credit card. Core is listed at $9 a month. Android and iOS apps can monitor phone events and perform device actions. Make lists GDPR, SOC 3, and SOC 2 Type II compliance, encryption, and single sign-on. It was founded in 2015 and is part of Celonis.
