In their own words
activist
activist is a free, open-source web platform for activists and organizations working toward social and ecological change. It helps people discover organizations and events, participate in activism, and coordinate political action. Organizations can create Learn events for seminars, meetings, and panels, or Action events for protests, direct action, and volunteering. Event pages support live updates, reusable templates, printable flyers or posters with QR codes, and organizer notes about risks or logistics. Organization profiles can represent internal groups and provide pages for resources, FAQs, and onboarding. Organizations, groups, and events can collect links in resource hubs; those links are publicly visible for now, and the service does not provide file storage. The maker describes the project as privacy-focused and community-governed. Accounts can be created without personal information such as an email address. Data is hosted in Iceland, and the privacy policy describes encryption, access controls, security assessments, and audits. Documentation provides a request-access form, while the roadmap places the product in MVP development and launch.
